Ok so we all know that well know MC players do mod reviews every now and then, and Im sure that those who get mods reviewed are extremly happy over it, but I feel like it takes away the meaning behind views. Lets say that an MC player with a youtube account has 50000 subs, and he does a mod review on a mediocre mod that he randomly found on PMC. He does the video, uploads it with a link, and his job is done. Now normally a mediocre mod will only get a couple hundred views, or maybe a thousand depending on the content. But as soon as the MC player that reviewed that mod uploads it to youtube, there is easily 25000 people who will see the video and click on the link that leads to the post on PMC. Now think, if even half of the 25000 were to click on the link it would still easily catapult that mod from obscurity to the front page, possibly knocking off a better mod because the other mod maker didnt get a mod review. The mediocre mod maker benefits from this, however the other mod maker may have his hard work not noticed because of this other mod. This is the reason why I dont like mod reviews, because the most popular mods are usually popular because of a review. I feel like it takes away the work from mod making, if you can just get someone to review it and get a bunch of views that way. Im not saying that all mods dont deserve reviews, Im just stating my opinion. What do you think?

I only review the stuff I like, and ignore the mo' tools mods. Those things are just really annoying. I look at mc forums for mods, and only follow some mod makers on pmc, as there is almost no good mods on pmc.
