Hello Guys and welcome to my first blog of my new series called "Redstone Tutorial". well its pretty self explainatory what this is about its all about redstone! leave a comment down below if this series should continue or not because i enjoy writing these blogs and i am a redstoner myself (dont you guys tell me to mkae like something Sethbling makes i am not that good) anyway enough bla bla bla lets get on with the tutorial so today i'll be writing on a redstone creation that you most probably Will need in you survival world or just for some other things

What is a Monostable Circuit? well basically a "Monostable Circuit" A.K.A a "Pulse Shortner" Shortens the length a redstone signal stays on for instance a button will give off a redstone signal for 1 second (i think) well you can make that one second last for 1 tick (0.01 seconds) rather than 1 second this also works with levers so you can have a lever act sorta as a button if you know what i mean. now that you all know what it is lets see how to build it its actually very resource friendly.

Step 1. Place down the blue wool as shown (the blue wool is where all redstone things are suppost to be put in the blue wool is so that you see where you need place items and it dosent have to be blue wool it could be any SOILD block this sample uses blue wool)
undefined

Step 2. Place The Sticky Piston, Lever/Button and Trapdoor as Shown (piston with block) also make sure its in the exact spot as in this picture
undefined

Step 3. Place The Redstone Exactly as shown in the following picture below
undefined

Step 4. Place the repeaters as shown!
undefined

There You Have It! a Monostable Circuit! bare in mind that the bit where the trapdoor is the output. the input is obviously the  where the lever is so there you have it!

How Does this work? well let me try to briefly explain how so basically in the 1.3 update (i think) they made it so that pistons take 1 tick to be on/off after the redstone is powered into the piston (1 tick = 0.01 seconds) so with that and the fact that redstone can travel through blocks  we can make what is called a monostable circuit so basically the lever gets activated and the redstone repeaters allow the redstone to pass through the blue wool however after 1 tick the piston extends and then the input gets cut off well that is basically beacause the wool was moved (the monostabke circuit in the example is set to 1tick we'll get more in to how to extend that 1 tick) well now you may wonder why cant it go through the extended part of the piston (aka piston head) well that is beacause piston heads are'nt blocks piston heads are entites thats why they wont go through the piston head well if redstone can trave through piston heads that means 1. this wont work (however there are many types of monostable circuits google it and you'll get it) 2. if redstone ever does go through piston eheads that means redstone will go through any entity even a pig! xD so yeah hope you guys learned something

as i said a while ago how can you mkaethe redstone last a little longer well that is possible by adding a few repeaters in a line where the piston is as shown:
undefined

Hope You GUys Enjoyed Leave A Diamond If you liked, Favourite if you loved it and subscribe for more! anyway thats all for now so once again should i countinue this series? or should i not even sart one? i'll let you guys tell me your own opinion whether i should continue this or not in the comment section down below!
