"Fame is fleeting, but the internet is forever.... seems like enough time." - Joke quote of Ferb from Phineas&Ferb

Intro
Welcome everyone to another blog by me, this one is a break down of how I think I became at least this popular.
Some things I say in this blog is not necessarily exactly what I did up to this point. It's what I should of done, if I knew any better. With the help of this blog hopefully, you'll know too. If your much past the "starting out" part, then your welcome to go ahead, though I wouldn't recommend it. This blog is indeed more focused on skinning, but I also know a lot about blogging. Projects, I wouldn't recommend though.
So, let's go to the beginning....
-----------
Starting Out
-----------------
So, welcome to PMC right?
Your looking around at all the things this wonderful site has to offer, and are ready to make your mark on the community! You may of found someone to look up to, like a famous skinner, or project maker. Maybe even a master of redstone engineering.
Some blogs may tell you that it is important to use the chat... or talk on the forums... but it really isn't all that important, in my experience. In my experience of creation communities similar to this, this one isn't as "how many friends do I have" orientated. The community isn't actually connected quite like that.... it's odd to explain, just know, that this community is focused on mainly making a big impression as soon as it's published, so that when people see it on the reel, they're bound to click it. If.. your entry happens to reach past the first 1-3 pages of blogs, skins, or whatever, then that... is when the TAGGING comes in. Tags are important, so use as much as you can to describe your entry.

Let's take... a good look at some popular people that... aren't moderators.
DinowCookie, is a good example that I know from the top of my head. She makes skins, as I do mostly, and blogs sometimes, like me.
Now, if your planning to do skins, then I'd recommend not doing what I did, and slowly learn how to shade. As much as I hate it personally, people only like shaded skins, and you will only be popular for it if you do.
If you have, NO idea how to shade, then you can either slowly learn pixel art through observing and complicated tutorials, or.... you can use a free Photoshop like tool I love called.... Gimp
simply search it up, and download it. Important tool on this program is.... the paint brush. I use it all the time, and it's a automatic shader basically. If you still need some pointers, give me a little PM and I'll try to help.
Blogs though, are of course different yet, still require practice.
Now, you don't exactly need to be entirely professional when writing most blogs. There is though, some very important details that all blogs should have.
First, a important/controversial/ or interesting topic. When making ANYTHING on PMC, you have to have a nearly "Sales Tactic" push to what you do and upload. Think about WHAT is popular around you.
I feel though, that this is most important for blogs in a odd way...
Second, a blog should have a article feel, that makes it easy to read, separated parts, and usually... have to be decently long to be popular. Detail is essential, you'll need lots of it.
Projects... are simple.... if your talented you'll be noticed, no matter what. Just make sure you have a good picture.
-------------------
Subscribers
-------------------
There is only 3 reasons why I subscribe to people. 1: They're my friends. 2: They're so amazing and popular that I know I'll need to link back to them. 3: because I KNOW that they will ALWAYS make something I care about and I will ACTUALLY come and look back at them every now and then.
Now, the last one.
See how I always make teen skins? It's a theme, and it's probably a good reason for why I have some common fans I see often, I'm not saying that you should do nothing but make Mario skins or something, but I would recommend you find a common ground, something that will make people have a expectation from you.
Another reason I may get diamonds or subscriptions is because I remind my viewers with....
One of these.
If you want one made for you, and can't do it yourself, then you can either.. maybe.... just maybe.. idk though, ..... ask.. me?
or ask a professional requester such as on the forums.
Sometimes people will honestly FORGET to diamond or subscribe.
it's important you squeeze out all the potential subscribers you can. haha x3
--------------
Still not popular?
--------------
Well then I recommend doing what I do when I feel like I'm losing popularity, or used to do.
1: Open up request.
Even blogs can do request, this isn't just a skin thing. Matter of fact, request for blogs? how original!
It's apparently against the rules to upload request blogs. (I learned that the hard way.)
So, go to the forums and find the right place for your new request thread.
Making a blog linking to it though.... might just be a way around this. xD
This should help get attention if you can shade well, or if you make blogs well, or if you make projects... etc.
2: If all else fails, advertise.
No... I do not mean spamming on other people's stuff...
I mean try to get attention in a less annoying way. Keep your mind open, and think outside the box.
---------------
Conclusion
----------------------
Well if your still having problems somehow, just ask me, and I'll see if I can help you more directly.
It's important to remember, fame takes time, and it's important to be patient.
A lot of good artist became popular after they died so consider yourself lucky...
I just want to make sure this really helps someone, it means a lot.
Thanks for viewing!
hahaha and.... don't forget...
