Hello ! Today I decided to tell what pushed me to love birds so much, I am very satisfied with its small events, so I will explain all of them with as much detail as possible :)

It all started, on a spring morning last year... (or summer? I can't remember!) I was walking on my property, when I saw a chipping sparrow, walking very close to us, he had finally left but I had clearly noticed the red spot on his head and his white belly. I had often seen him from afar, on my spruce tree, but I often said to myself:
- Oh, there's a house sparrow in the spruce!
Yes, before I didn't know anything about birds. But now that I had seen the details about him, I decided to do some research and that's when I discovered that he was a Chipping Sparrow. It was the first time I had heard of chipping sparrows. Some time later, I see a bird in the distance, landing near a spruce. I approach and I see him, juvenile, looking at me! He stayed for a minute before leaving, a little further, to land. A juvenile learning to fly, that was for sure! I think it was an American robin...juvenile, they don't look the same at all! After a few months I decide to install feeders, a normal feeder and one for suet. One morning, I see... black-capped chickadee, lots of chickadee! I recognized his birds well but I also see a white-breasted nuthatch. I said to myself then:
- Hey, what kind of chickadee is this? It's surely a Canada jay!
Yes, I really thought it was a jay, it was not smart of me! But after some research, I quickly understand that it is absolutely not the same thing and that the jays are not even part of the family of the chickadee. Thereafter, here are the moments which were for me the most important, one good morning, I look out the edge of the window and I see on the roof of my balcony, yellow-rumped warblers, male and female. They weren't in their breeding plumage, so when I saw the females, I thought to myself:
- Female Chipping Sparrows!
But I was surprised when I saw the male, I understood that it was not chipping sparrow! I do research and so I learn of the existence of yellow-rumped warblers. One day, I look out my bedroom window. Outside, next to this window, is an old television antenna, then, on this antenna, lands a female yellow-rumped warbler! I look at her, she looks at me, I had the window open so I heard her sing, then I continued to look at her for a long time. It was magical for me. Every day, I came to the edge of the window to watch this warbler which always came back... and which one day, bumped into the window... but fortunately, this warbler was fine! Winter was near, the warblers left to migrate. I had bought myself a book on birds, to be able to identify them easily. I now give myself goals of birds to attract to my home, like the last time, it was the common redpolls, which I had finally managed to have on my land. I can't wait for spring to come back, so I can see the warblers again!

That's all. If you're wondering what the bird is in the picture, it's the pigeon that often comes to my balcony. Sorry if the image is quite blurry, I was in a hurry to take it and it is rare for me to photograph birds!
