Oi, everyone! Happy Halloween! It's me, Ocean, and I'm here with a new blog! Today's blog is about something I've noticed a lot of Servers doing these days.
Today's topic: Mianite Servers
Now, I know what some of you may be thinking: "Ocean, what's a Mianite Server?" Well, it's a new server "type" that was brought to light by CaptainSparklez, a rather famous Minecraft YouTuber. His friend created a private server for him and the rest of his friends to play on, such as TheSyndicateProject, and has the gods Mianite, Ianite, and Dianite, or the gods of the Aether, Overworld, and Nether, I believe (please correct me if I'm wrong about these, I'm not very in-depth with the series he's done on it). Now, I know that there are fans of YouTubers that take things way overboard, such as the SkyDoesMinecraft fans that start flame-wars with the whole "It's not gold, it's butter!" thing, and Pewdiepie fans get a lot of hate for being a "Bro", as he calls his Subscribers, but I feel as if this is going overly overboard.
Part of the reason why I feel that way is because it's the whole "butter" thing all over again. It's taking something that a famous person has done and making it commonplace, when it should be kept like the creators of the server, phrase, etc made it. It really bugs me that people do that, because it eventually gets annoying. I mean, I used to love Sky, but everything in the comments section of his videos was always Pewdiepie fans and Sky fans getting in enormous flame-wars. I couldn't stand it, because it gets old fast. I feel like Mianite servers are taking that special feel out of the original server that Syndicate created, and people are just going to make things on the servers that are insanely overpowered and ruin the genre.
In all honesty, I really don't like how people are taking the idea Sparklez and his friends had for their own private server, because it's not really giving credit to the people who came up with the idea. Half of them don't even say that CaptainSparklez and the rest of his group of friends had the idea for it, either! That's what really bugs me, because they're essentially plagiarizing by not giving them credit!
So, in conclusion, I don't think people should be making Mianite servers. It takes away from the magic of Sparklez and his friends having their own private Minecraft server, which they worked hard on, and shouldn't have to deal with people copying them.
If you enjoyed this Blog, please consider giving me a nice, shiny Diamond and Favourite! :D Don't forget to Subscribe for more stuff like this, as well!
And as always,
Peace, love, and tridents!

My problem with these servers is that they have become faction servers. I see the Mianite series as more of a large scale roleplay with survival thrown in. Most Mianite servers I find play just like factions servers: you can't trust anyone, you can't really do much outside of huddle in a home alone and fight anyone that comes close or live in your faction home and be constantly on guard for raids. It is not nearly as chilled or fun. But that is just my thoughts on the matter.
CaptainSparklez didn't bring light to it, he wasn't there for a majority of episodes. I don't agree with you at all also. People aren't copying them, they weren't probably the first one to use the idea of it either. A group of friends making a Miante server isn't going to harm their channel at all. That's like someone making the first mini game server and it's copying for the rest of the community to make their own.
They are not sustainable. Anyway, good blog. Diamond from me!
