Today, I'm going to talk about a movie that really gets on my nerves (Heh, you see what I did there? It's called Nerve, and... never mind. Just pretend I didn't say that.) But in all seriousness, I've seen tons of trailers playing on YouTube and on TV, so it's gotta be a total hit if it wants that much attention, right? But if you know how my reviews work, the answer to that question is usually no. So watch out before you dare to watch this movie, as I uncover the truth about this new action movie.

Have you ever been at a slumber party and played Truth or Dare? It's a fun little game until someone decides you can only do dares, then everybody just wants to stop playing afterward. Well, that's the situation with Nerve. Nerve is pretty much an online dare game that random people just compete in, but they can win great amounts of money and viewers by doing these outrageous tasks. And when I say outrageous, I mean extremely unrealistic and beyond legal limits. What were the characters thinking when they signed up? Plus, the dares aren't even exciting despite their lack of reality, as they provide no shock or horror to keep the audience interested enough. The only thing the audience sees is the message that the movie constantly preaches throughout the film, which is not an interesting one.

I've seen many people complain that technology is ruining people's lives, and I don't need a supposed action movie try to lecture me about it. If I wanted that, I'll just watch the Snowden movie that is coming out soon. These characters are so highly stereotyped as rebellious teenagers obsessed with social media that it dilutes the problem. I mean, one of the characters joins Nerve just so she can prove to her friends that she's not afraid to take risks. I think the better step you should have taken is to show at least one lick of common sense! Jeez, it's like watching people fight on social media just to get attention. It's frustrating and highly annoying.

Nerve was supposed be creepy earlier on, but it lost its touch further on. The people that run Nerve are supposed to feel omnipresent and that they're always watching. Too bad these characters are usually to busy looking at their phones and causing drama that they barely notice. Even the audience doesn't feel intimidated by them. Nerve is also supposed to popular with young teens, and they are paying 19.99 to watch it. But why? Why would you watch people putting their lives on the line to do stupid stuff on a competition. This sounds like the Hunger Games for 2016.

So what did you think? Leave suggestions for the next review or tell me what you thought of Nerve down in the comments below. And as always, see you next time!

I can read backwards, And I'm going to join The Watchers, just to troll people. :3

PS: I've Never seen Nerve, but I've seen ads of it from the time I've spent watching TV at the beach. It just seems like a Present Day Hunger Games. Social Media sucks because Pokémon Go Trumps it by a landslide. And oh gosh, I'm sick and tired of those dumb Rebel Teens Obsessed with Social Media Stereotypes. And don't forget, there was a Nerve Contest Commercial on TV, it made me cringe on how many Hashtags it used during it.

Also, do a review on Storks when that comes out. I really want to see how Izzy from the Total Drama Series fits in with a bunch of Baby Carrying Birds. :D

Eh, Pokémon Go is alright. It's just that we have some stupid people playing it. But Pokéball is life, so I can't say too much about it. And yes, I used an internet trend on a comment about me reviewing a movie based on social media. Sue me. The next review will be Suicide Squad, but I am looking at Storks and Nine Lives as future reviews.

Yeah true, there are some idiots out there playing it (AKA, those people who clearly don't read the warning at the beginning with the Gyarados on it) so... Yeah, I don't mind Internet Trends, unless they become extremely annoying (Selfies, Hashtags, etc.). And yes I did notice your Suicide Squad review, I'm going to read that soon...

PS: I oddly have hopes for Nine Lives! As an avid fan of Warrior Cats, I could probably see how using realistic cat CGI would work if I could ever pitch a Warrior Cats Movie to Erin Hunter. Also, a guy turning into a cat is a cool idea, even though it has been done with dogs before, I was hoping for a Cat Movie like that. As from what I've seen on IMDB, Nine Lives seems to be getting critically panned, as it only has a 3.3/10. It's quite shocking, as most horrible movies like "Norm of the North" and "Foodfight!" get those types of Rating Numbers. Maybe this could be a Guilty Pleasure on supporting it, but I'll have to see for myself if it's really that "Norm of the North" type of bad.

Storks seems like a fun movie though, as the voice actor of Izzy from TDI is in it. But yeah, besides that, I'm still waiting for a Warrior Cats Movie to approach... (Kinda like how The Hunger Games got a movie, but my guess is that it's going to be much darker than Nine Lives and other movies with Cats in it.)

Yeah, Nine Lives isn't doing too hot at the moment. I don't think it will be "Foodfight!" bad, but I'll have to see. I just checked the score for Nine Lives on Rotten Tomatoes, and it got a 4%. Ouch. That's gotta sting.
