Blazewing is Sunstorm's younger brother. He was part of the Decepticon lieutenant's Seeker squadron, which was sent on a mission to Prion to slaughter the Mini-Cons that lived there. However, Blazewing couldn't bear to see the large Decepticons destroy small, defenseless robots, so he fired on his own brother. He was taken prisoner and branded a traitor to the Decepticon cause, before being exiled from Cybertron and sent to the prison colony Grindcore, where he shared a cell with a bot named Tankron, who he became good friends with.

Tankron was a tough gladiator who fought many battles in the pits. He joined the Decepticon movement in its early days and was so skilled that he became a member of Strika's Heavies despite being very timid and nervous about fighting in a war. His nerves got the best of him on a Heavies mission on the planet Aquatron, where he lost his left leg and right arm to Sharkticons because he was too scared to fire at them. The Heavies saw his weakness and dragged him back to Cybertron where, after being given limb replacements that prevented him from transforming due to not fitting with his alt-mode, he was kicked out of the Heavies. After that, he began to make a plan to steal energon from the Decepticons and leave Cybertron to start a new life elsewhere. Unfortunately, he was caught stealing and used his new cannon arm to blow up the energon mining facility he was stealing from in attempt to cover his escape with the powerful explosion. Without an alt-mode, however, he couldn't get away in time and was taken to Grindcore, where he shared a cell with his future best friend, an ex-Seeker named Blazewing. The two began devising a plan to escape the prison.

Vanish was forged a Shifter, one of the rare descendants of Amalgamous Prime. She became a medic for the Decepticons, and used her shifting abilities to go on spy missions on occasion. Her biggest mission was infiltrating the Autobots as a medic named Ambulon in an attempt to sabotage their base and give them faulty repairs that would result in their destruction in battle. However, she was caught talking to Megatron by Ratchet, and the mission went downhill. After a failed battle, she took the form of Mirage and raced out of the base, changing back to her normal form once she returned to the base. After reporting her failure to Megatron, he was so angry at her at the fact that she failed such an important mission that he sent her to Grindcore. Her cell was next to a pair of bots named Blazewing and Tankron, who realized she would be perfect for their escape plan.

Shredbeak was one of Shockwave's Predacon experiments, and an incredibly skilled fighter. He was unrivaled in combat and heavily worshipped Onyx Prime, the Cybertronian god of the beasts. He idolized the first beastformer so much that he had Knock Out repaint his body and make some slight modifications (with Shockwave's permission) to make him look more like Onyx.* He was favored by many a Decepticon, and even earned the respect of Megatron himself. However, this all came crashing down when a mining crew found Onyx's relic, the Triptych Mask, in a mine in the Sonic Canyons, where Onyx and his beasts once roamed freely. Along with Megatron, Starscream, and Shockwave, Shredbeak journeyed to the mine to retrieve the mask, but when he learned Megatron sought to exploit the sacred relic's powers for his own gain. Angered at this, he threw Megatron against a wall in the cave and slashed his chest. Starscream and the miners fired on him, as did Shockwave, and Megatron proceeded to wrestle with Shredbeak. In the end, the Predacon grabbed the Triptych Mask and flew away, taking refuge near the prison colony Grindcore, where he saw a trio of prisoners escaping, and he helped them by holding off the guards. He then joined them on their ship, a stolen transport craft, as they took off, enemies of the Decepticon cause.

*No, he didn't get centaur legs.

Tarn is the leader of the Decepticon Justice Division. A lover of classical music (his favorite piece is called “The Empyrean Suite” by Eucryphia) and the works of Megatron, as well as one of the most loyal members of the Decepticon cause, he wears the Decepticon insignia on his face to cover scars he got from a battle with Grimlock in the early days of the Great War. He was once a young outlier named Damus, who was nicknamed Glitch, courtesy of his ability to freeze machinery at a touch. After training under Shockwave’s tutelage at the Jhiaxian Academy of Advanced Technology, Glitch’s powers evolved to the point that he could change the tone of his voice and literally talk someone to death. Upon seeing the potential of Tarn, Megatron recruited him to the Decepticons and had his scientist Lobe rebuild the outlier into a killing machine, with weapons all around his body. Tarn was made the warden of Grindcore Prison, during which he began playing “The Empyrean Suite” to drown out the screams of prisoners he smelted. Megatron promoted him to the leader of his newly-formed team of Decepticons, the DJD, who would hunt down traitors to the cause and kill them. Even though the war ended, though, Tarn and the DJD never disbanded. They’ve been evading arrest and are currently hunting down a ragtag group of traitors trying to live a normal life in the galaxy. Tarn is also struggling with the fact that Megatron joined the Autobots, saying that one day, he’ll kill that “traitorous son of a glitch."
