What's up? I'm Bobby and I have a rant today :D
I don't know about you guys but I have seen a TON of "rants against rants" blogs on this here website and I have a few things to say about these.
I dunno, maybe I'm just biased because I like to rant but I think these "rant against rant" blogs are not only hypocritical but also stifling the writing community.
I am in no way whatsoever trying to stop people who rant on rants, I love rants, however, these are my opinions on rants against rants. I don't care if you keep ranting on rants, rants are fun! However these are my opinions! Be warned, I am passionate.
HYPOCRITICAL:
Ok, if you are going to rant against people that rant why on earth would you call you blog a rant?! Why not call it "my opinions on rants" or something else that doesn't want me to punch my desktop. If you don't like rants why are you ranting?????
What you are basically telling me is that you can write a blog discussing something you don't like but I am not allowed to. That ranting is dumb and no one should do it.

In what world does that make sense?
"Well, I can rant about people ranting because my blog isn't hating anything it's just trying to bring justice to PMC"
Ok yay, good for you. Ranting at people that rant is hating on rants so basically you are solving no problems. You are being hypocritical and frankly annoying because for some reason you don't seem to understand that ranting against rants is still ranting, you are telling people to stop doing what you just did.
Oh, and if you say that rants are unoriginal allow me to slap some sense into you because you can rant about anything but if you rant against rants that has been done countless times.
STIFLING CREATIVITY
I love ranting. I love reading other rants. I love having a discussion about different opinions on said rants I read. How are rants bad and why should they be stopped?
Rants aren't like skins that are copied and spammed. Rants are all different because they come from different people with different opinions that we want to hear and discuss. Rants are a good way to get out what is bottled inside, and hey, as long as they are not directing hate to a specific person they aren't harmful.
As long as I have opinions I will rant. I don't care how many people say "ranting is pointless," "stop ranting." To me it's a creative outlet and I will continue to use it.
So yeah, rant all you want about how much rants suck, I and I lot of people will continue to write them :)
