A deep look into commands!
A short review by Hiper about his favourite map.

Have you ever wondered how those magical doors open, or the lamps turn on and off with just a single press of a button? How a title appear or how specific sounds play? All of these are possible thanks to the command blocks! (and of course some redstonery too)

So far one of my favourite projects was to build my own pizzeria! Of course it was based on FNaF but apart from that it is a really complex building indeed! It might be a factory-like restaurant, (was intended to be one) but if you look under the place you can find a lot of interesting stuff!

Here in this blog I want to show you the magic behind the scenes by showing some images of the contraptions and some info about them like what they do. Each paragraph is about the picture below it!!!!

First I want to show the layout which is on a 51x51 platform, just like in Hypixel's housing.

(don't worry I've got the map saved multiple times, nothing was lost!)

The next image shows the redstone stuff from above.

Redstone & Commands behind the scenes!
You can see there are many contraptions all over the 2nd half of the plot.

On this image you can see the mechanisms behind the offices door (on the left, it ends with those long chain command block lines) which uses a simple on/off switch connected to some detectors looking at a specific lever if it's powered or not. It also features a timer for a simple purpose. The door only stays closed for about 10 seconds or so. (Idk, 24 items are in the hoppers) Above that you can see the doors' states themselves, the whole opening/closing animation is based on cloning from one place to another. Of course I took my time and added some fancy particles and sound effects. Moving on!

Redstone & Commands behind the scenes!

Coming to the most seperated part for a moment, let's have a look at the machine responsible for the title showing up as you enter the building through the front vent. It uses a simple timer again, this time to reset the "Title Machine". It uses a simple /execute command to search for the player, if they are in the specified destination. Simple right? I hope... it is.

Back to the main section, this device here is the "Main Power Switch". It exactly does what it says. If you were to flick the lever, all lights go out and the command blocks responsible for checking all the other levers get turned off as well. It has an auto reset so after powering, you get a set of messages like this:

It automatically resets the entire system under ~30 seconds, I'e designed it on purpose to fix the system in the case of one managing to spam the levers and somehow breaking something. (Tested it so sometimes it does break, glad I built this too.)
While writing this blog I managed to break all the timers while making everything visible. Do NOT tamper with the redstone, and don't try to fix it on your own if you are unsure about what you're doing. In the map it works. On the image you can see on the purple wool the redstone is missing, that's what I broke only. (thank god I still remember this stuff)
The repeating command block is the detector, and the rest in front of it is the machine itself. The red line behind it is a kind of border I made so you can see it a little easier. Moving on!

The last section to look at is the ligh system. I used T Flip-Flops, and some magic (jk). In each machine I just set the right cords into the connected command blocks for specific blocks (pink wool in the map if you go into spectator mode you can see them if lights are off). These are replaced with redstone ones to activate the redstone lamps with simple redstone lines connected together.
Some lights are needed to be directly replaced with their on/off counterparts, those ones don't use any redstone to be activated at all. They are just continuously replaced by the repeating command blocks connected to their own T Flip-Flop of course, which you can see close to the wall. The other set which has redstone blocks on top are the detectors for the levers which you use to activate all of these. Every T Flip-Flop has 2 sides, one for activation and one for deactivation. All of them of course come with a self resetting system so its kind of like it they are all inverted.

With all of that being said, I think we've reached the end! That's all the redstone stuff in this map, feel free to check it out for yourself too! (don't break it though :p)
Thank you for reading through this review kinda thingy, I just thought it would be cool to write down how all this stuff works! If you have any questions please ask them in the comments! I'm happy to answear them! I might make more of these actually... See you in the next one!
