Hello PMC! Today I am going to be talking (more like typing) about PMC's report button, why and when we should use it, and how it could be better.
What is the Report Button?
On PMC, and many other sites, there are little flags or other symbols to report something someone said, a picture, or a video. The Report Button is a very useful button, as long as you use it in the right way.

How do you CORRECTLY use the Report Button?
There is no absolute CORRECT way to report someone if needed, but there are a few things you need to help the offending or inappropriate item get off of the site you are using (not just PMC).
1. State your opinion.
State your opinion about the entry. You must have a reason for reporting the post, and a good opinion about why you think it should be removed is good, but don't say: "IZ DONT LIK DIS POST CAUZE IT STUPID!" No.
2. Use proper grammer.
No moderator wants to read a report written by a person who can add commas and periods. Also, correct spelling is a good thing, and if you don't know how to spell a certain word, look it up in a dictionary.
3. Add backup info.
You always want info to back up your report, such as links, copyrights, and so on. (I say copyright in case it is a copyright infringement)
4. Don't go to far.
Don't constantly send messages to moderators telling them about a bad submission. Use the report button but don't take it to far. Don't include unnecessary details.

What if a moderator DOES NOT remove the reported item?
Don't constantly pester moderators. If they don't find anything wrong with it, they won't remove it. But, if you find an abusive moderator, tell another moderator, not the abusive one.

How can PMC's report button be made better?
I think it could be made better by adding another report option, a option I would call the Diamond Abuse option. If you have read the Rules of Submissions guidelines, you will come to a section that I will copy and paste for you.
Do not bribe, force or otherwise coerce other users into diamonding/favoriting/commenting on your submissions:

What you can say:If you like this, please give me a diamond

What you can't say:
Diamond if you agree/disagree...
Give me a diamond for diamonds/money/rewards in-game...
Give me a diamond to support me / make me work quicker...
If I get X diamonds I will put up a download/put up next part...
Give a diamond if you download...
If I get enough diamonds I might make more...
...and any other variations

The Diamond Abuse report section would be useful if a submission users have posted don't agree with the diamond/fave/commenting rules. Therefore, it would reinforce the rules of asking for diamonds/faves/comments, making it so that there will not be problems (unless the user does it via PM) with anything that has to do with THREATS for not diamonding/faving/subscribing ect. ect.

Conclusion
I believe that the Report Button is a very useful tool, as long as you know how to use it, but could be updated to be made better.
Thanks for reading!
