Day 18: Lloyd woke up bright and early. He ended up calling the ninja to meet up again, in hopes to have a more civilized conversation this time. They came up with an idea to have one or two of the pyjama crew at a time and meet up with Lloyd and me, so it felt like less of a party on the Destiny’s Bounty. Along with that, Lloyd also made me promise that I would talk to ALL of the ninja, even the siblings. I agreed more or less because I knew no wasn’t an option. Regardless, the day went by better than yesterday.

Each ninja had their own assortment of questions (mostly asking how they could tell if I was good or not). Yet, the one that caught me off guard was when Zane asked:
“Would you be prepared to uphold the responsibility of empress of Ninjago City when the time comes?”

I just explained that I don’t really know. It’s not my choice to be an empress, it’s just the role I have to play. Whether I’m ready or not doesn’t make a difference because Ninjago City will expect me to be ready. Later, when Kai came, he seemed to have cooled down. Though we had to go to Chen’s Noodle House and have Skylor read my mind to prove I wasn’t planning anything.

Day 19: I think the pyjama crew is trying to torture me. I had to attend a gathering with SEVERAL people just to prove myself. Not to mention, an interview with Gale Gossip. Who I remember so fondly of when she posted an article about the lucky little girl who got adopted by the emperor and empress. After she just experienced the DEATH of her birth parents. I’m never going to forget that, but I guess I can try to forgive her. Since the pyjama crew are trying to forgive me, perhaps I should try to forgive others as well.

Day ???: Oops, I haven’t written in here in a while! Anyway, so much has happened since I last wrote in here. I have officially become the empress of Ninjago City. Not to mention I have the best protectors in the world (who still look like they're in pyjamas 24/7 but whatever). Not to mention, I have friends and family now. I even tried to give The Sons of Garmadon a second chance. They agreed not to vandalize or steal, but they couldn’t promise participating in street racing or no noise complaints. Also, Lloyd has agreed to rule alongside me, so the p̶y̶j̶a̶m̶a̶ ̶c̶r̶e̶w̶ ninja constantly tease him about being “The royal green ninja”.

Still, I’m thankful Lloyd was willing to give me a second chance, even when no one else seemed willing. I often wonder what would have happened if I died that day. What if I was found buried under the rubble, would anyone have visited my grave or would I just be forgotten?

Fun fact: The jump to the future is inspired from a point in Harumi’s diary “ Secrets of The Sons of Garmadon” also known as “Garmadon Rulz”. Where there is a similar transition from where she didn’t write in her diary in years as a result of Garmadon turning good.
