the plains pass by,
wild wheat waving,
the craze of outside,
storm clouds wavering
i drift along,
slowly, slowly,
singing my song,
peaceful and holy
like driftwood i pass
by the fields and trees
some people find these thoughts
hard to believe
but true, oh, true!
are these words
my mind at rest,
thoughts drifting by slowly, slowly
i see it all,
the large oak trees,
the rushing waterfall.
i see it go fast,
i see them grow strong.
but all things, in the spectrum of time,
do occur,
slowly, slowly.
