Chapter Two

"Did you just say 'Minecraft?" My eyes widened, "You mean the unexplored island? The one in my storybooks?"
Steam came from his nostrils, "Well I might be old but I have certainly explored this island!" He stood and raged.
I laughed, "You? But those creatures!"
He giggled with me, "Yes, I know it sounds quite silly but it's certainly true, my dear!" He winked, "An old man never lies."
I rolled over on my back and sighed, "Ha, yes. Well... How do you fight them off?"
"What would you want to fight off?" He poured milk into a bucket and gave it to me.
"Thanks." I gulped it down, "Those creatures. One exploded, one moaned..."
"Mobs!"
"What? Mobs?"
"Yes. Creepers, skeletons, zombies, slimes." He poured himself a bucket and slurped away.
"Oh." I laid back down, There's more then just two?
He smiled, his eyes twinkling, "Here." He opened a chest and pulled out some un-lite torches, a wooden sword, and a wooden pickaxe, "You'll need these to survive. Oh!" He picked up wood and some uncooked pork-chops, "You'll need these too." He handed everything to me.
I jugged everything but it fell, "My bag. I lost my bag in the accident."
"Oh no worries my dear." He took off his bag and gave it to me, "My time has come anyways. It's about time I die!" He yelled, jokingly.
I giggled, "Oh thank you for your kindness, stranger."
"Please, call me Taco. TheFinalTaco."
"And I'm Stevette. From Philadelphia."

I left and was on my way immediately. Taco had directed me to the plain, away from forests and caves. He was so kind to me, I almost missed him. My heart felt heavy. I looked up and could see the open land in the distance. Clutching my sword, I nervously approached. And then, I ran, feeling free. I no longer missed the smoggy city of Philadelphia. I inhaled and exhaled, fresh air. I raced the wind to the middle of the plain and placed down a block of wood. Taco had given me stone, windows, a bed, a chest and a door on the way out. I opened my pack and through each item down. I began to build. When I had finished, I entered and put torches all over the small room. Finally, I placed down the bed and the chest. What a day this has been... I thought, smiling. Laying down, I fell into a deep sleep.

I'm dreaming! I thought as I entered the dark world. "Stevette. So glad you could make it." I shadowy voice came from the distance. "Show yourself, coward!" I screeched, but I couldn't even hear my own voice over the clicking sound of shackles. "Join me, daughter." I gasped, "Dad?"
"Why, that name no longer suits me." He tapped his fingers through the shadows.
I squinted, "Where are you? What happened to you back in Philly?"
"That fool of a man murdered me!" He raised his voice, startling me, "Call me Herobrine! That's my name!"
"But..."
"No buts!" He cut me off, "You are my daughter, correct?"
"Yeah dad-" I stopped and cleared my throat, "Yes Herobrine."
"Good. Now if you ever want to survive, you'll do as I say."

I awoke, drenched in sweat-beads. Gasping for air, I opened the door and exited. It was him! It was!

This story is based off the beginning of my comic series. This new series I started is about the main character, Stevette's beginning and how she came upon the island of Minecraft.
