One minute they were there. The next they were being dragged across the floor by a group of people clothed in emerald and riding horses. o Help!o screamed Fin, but the people in class 6D where too shocked to speak. His classmates were staring in gobsmacked expressions at him from their seats. There was a soft clatter as the teachero s pen hit the floor. He struggled against the pull of his capturero s iron grip, but quickly found that it was no use. Why wereno t they helping him? Why did they just sit there with no thoughts about what was happening to him? Fin twisted around to see that Ana was doing exactly the same thing.


o You people! Over here!o she scolded, sounding cross, as normal. o FIN! What is going on!?o


o Ana, I seriously do not know!o he shouted back. Even at this time of need, he still noticed how beautiful her burnt sunset hair and sparkling yellow eyes were. The riders were at the door of the classroom, but they were not going to open it like normal people would. They stopped; one stepped forward and rode into the door, knocking right off its hinges. They bounded out into the corridor, dragging their prisoners on the cold, dusty floor. As he rode past, Fin glimpsed class 6C through the window. They were all frozen, just like the children in 6D.


o Oh my god!o spluttered a familiar voice from his left. He swivelled round to see Joshua Jennings, a new kid in 6D. He had short blonde hair and bright green eyes.


o Hello Josh,o Fin said with a grin. o How was your first day at Glamor High?o Josh grimaced.


o Fin? That you?o said a shout from behind him. It was Evie McCarthy, her flaming hair billowing in the wind.


o So ito s us four together.o Fin cried.


He was about to make some attempt at a joke, when something happened that made the four captives snap out of their friendly conversation. The rider pulling Fin starting chanting in a strange language. o Ahop dso jaac da dso gupj ab Chronon.o Wind whooshed passed the children as a green slit appeared at the end-of-corridor wall. It opened up into a large, swirling jade circle, big enough for 4 horses to fit in... He closed his eyeso ¦


Zap! Fino s companions vanished in a cloud of dust and he was left sprawled on the floor on the other side of the portal. o What the-o he cried. He tried to make out the green people amongst the room, but they too, had disappeared. He stood up and ran, ran away from the school. He wanted to escape that mad place. But his legs were disintegrating into green and white sparks. The sparks spread until he could no longer see where he was going. Then it all became black.

"Chips..." mumbled Fin. "I need chipssss...."

"I do not know what these chips you speak of are, but I do have food." said a strange voice from his left. Slowly, Fin opened his eyes. He wished he hadn't. He bounced out of bed and prepared to kick the man in the face.

"Woaah, woahh. Calm down, I was merely asking if you would like any food." replied the man hastily.

"Sorry, I'm a bit cranky when people wake me up." Fin joked. The man didn't get it. "My name is Fin. I live in England. Where am I now?"

"England? Never heard of it. You are in Castor Village, the third largest town in all of Chronon." answered the man proudly. There it was again-that word, Chronon.
