NOTE: All of the characters in this story are based off of real people I have played with in the game of Minecraft. The main character is based off of me so I don't have to guess what someone would think in a given situation. If you have not read chapter one yet, I advise you follow the adfly link to chapter one so you understand better (adf.ly/IptIi). The smaller lines text in the second paragraph are quite gory, so if you are squeamish, please skip over it.

Blind walked slowly down the path in the plains towards an unknown destination. His stomach groaned in complaint of the long walk without food. I really should have waited to see if any of those trees dropped any apples... Blind realized. But it was too late to turn back. He had been walking for several hours, and the sun was beginning to set. I need to find shelter. I don't have enough wood to build a house though, and there are no trees around here. Blind stopped walking to look around. His stomach groaned again, but this time even louder. Oh, stop complaining, He thought. I will eat as soon as I find food. Finding nothing near the path, Blind ventures to his right in hopes of finding a cave, or some animals.

Blind walked for a few minutes until the sun set entirely, then stopped to survey his surroundings again. Nothing looked promising. But something was near him, silently sneaking up behind him as he turned around to head toward the path. Suddenly, Blind hears footsteps behind him, and he spins around as fast as he could. Directly in front of him stands a green creature that looks not unlike him, but it has four legs and no arms. As it moves closer it begins to hiss, and Blind is frozen with fear. Crap. He only had enough time for this one word to go through his head before the creeper exploded. Pain erupted all over Blind's body, and he was catapulted backwards. More pain shot down his spine as he landed and slid across the tall, course grass. Gah! This really hurts... Then his mind went blank. He lost all track of time while he stared straight upwards. After a very long period of time, He finally awoke from his trance and began to sit up. As he sat up, he was horrified at the scene in front of him. Where the creeper exploded there was a large hole in the ground, and the grass around him was utterly soaked with blood. As if that wasn't enough, he looked at his left shin and saw his bone, but the really frightening part was what the flesh around the bone looked like. It was utterly shredded. Should...have...stayed...on...the path! He thought. In agony, Blind rolled over and began dragging himself towards the torch-lit path. Pain screamed in his skull, spine, and especially his leg as he hauled himself through tall grass and elevation changes.

Now on the path, Blind rolled onto his back and pulled out the bow and arrows he had taken from the skeleton he had killed earlier. I sure hope I don't have to use these... He thinks. He tries to stay alert, but he begins to get sleepy. NO! He mentally yells at himself. If I fall asleep, I will die! However, his efforts to stay awake were in vain. Eventually he drifts off to sleep. He wakes in the morning with a start. Dangit! I fell asleep. At least I made it through the night though. He tries to see if he can stand. Augh! Definitely can't walk yet. Unless... Blind grabs his bow and cuts the string, and the curve of the bow springs into a slightly curved line. Perfect. Blind then begins to use the bowstring to painfully tie what used to be his bow onto his left knee just above where the skin splits in order to use the bow instead of his emaciated leg. Again, he tries to stand, putting his weight primarily on the stick instead of his leg. This time he is sucsessful. Gah! This really sucks. He began walking again at a much slower pace than the day before. Every now and then he would fall over, and pain would tear through his entire body, but he always managed to get up and continue walking. After two hours of this excruciating torture, a small group of people become visible in the distance. Finally! I'm saved! This is finally over! For the moment it was. The battle was won, but the war is far from over.
