I've noticed several (well, actually WAY more than several) people complaining that the new Minecraft launcher sucks and is buggy. While I agree, and have experienced a few bugs myself, getting on Planet Minecraft or the Minecraft Forum and complaining about it isn't going to do anything. You have to remember that Mojang is a very small company writing a game for a GIANT audience. They get new stuff out to the community as fast as they can, and not all of it is going to be perfect. Also, keep in mind that while the launcher may look and feel unfinished right now, that's because it just came out. Improvements will come in time. The new launcher plus the 1.6 update is also a massive step toward the long-awaited Mod API. So be patient. Mojang is doing the best they can, and their best is really fun and entertaining, as all of you know. Think of it as Minecraft Alpha. It was really limited and buggy, but in time, it grew into one of the biggest games ever.
