Advertisement
Guys, advertisement has its pros and cons. One thing, Do not over advertise! Do not spam locations of the site including the sites chat. You will most likely be banned or seen as a immature person. You earn subscribers, and get views and downloads if people actually like what you put out there.
Submissions
Guys I cannot stress this enough. Upload ORIGINAL work do not paint over someone elses skin, use part a world download or whatever. People are attracted to members who create unique and original content. Also make sure you submissions aren't to simplified.Most simple example of this are skins. With little to no shading. Shading on skins helps the skin look more realistic "up to a point" and as well as shows experience and skill. So do your best to shade and not copy other skins. oh and make sure you post in the correct submission form. And anything you submit as a submission has to be minecraft related. The forums have special sections for posting things that don't relate to the game. This was created because submissions are meant to add content to minecraft, so guys keep it relevant.
Participation
Try to get in on as many public events as you can here. This a community and being a part of it helps you be more noticed on the site. Participate in contests and official ones. They you will get award trophys for participating in official site wide contests.
