Okay, so many people have created on how to play factions, but it's not really efficient!

When you first get on factions, make sure it's a reasonable server. Pvp arenas, good kits, perks throughout donations, big map, reasonable people, and warps!

Now, there should be a warp wild, or a warp that brings you into the world of unknown.

1. Make a BASE.

The first thing you will need to do is make a base, and this requires strategy. Now, if you make an upground base, it should either be in the nether or the end, but you should never make an upground base in the normal world. Why, you ask? It is the easiest thing to raid. Even if you coat it with water, people always have a solution to get in.

I would make it down underground, a few blocks up from bedrock. Many people throughout minecraft have a hack called X-ray, which allows you to see items, ores, lava, water, etc. underground. You can not see things through lava on most versions of this hack, so my suggestion would be to coat your base with LAVA! All above and around your base, surround it with lava.


Another way to build a base is to build it under an ocean in the middle of nowhere. When you do this, my advice is to not claim it because most servers have the command: /f map, which allows to see if factions are near, and allows them to see if your faction claim is near, allowing them to find your 'impossible to find' base!

2. Making money

Most servers have a shop in their factions, which means buying and selling. Look around the shop, and see what's easiest to make, and if it's pricy enough. After finding a reasonable item, you might have to start at something small to gain enough money to gain supplies for your money making plan. It could be you starting out with a massive potato farm and gaining 50k each harvest, and then you buying an enderman spawner and grinding them to make enderpearls. It depends on how you think of it, and be creative!

3. Your faction

Choosing people for your faction is tough, especially with all of the insiders (people who raid from the inside) around now. I suggest team speak, or skype for this, so you can speak with the person you're about to add to your faction!

Your looking for:

•  Good pvp skills
  
  
• Older than 10
  
  
• Is polite and understands easily
  
  
• Doesn't hack
  
  
• Follows your orders
  
  
• Isn't lethargic (lazy)
  

4. Land Claim

When you claim land, it will either be
1. Nether
2. End
3. Normal World

The end is legendary, this means whoever has end claim is crazy powerful. This usually comes by getting first dibs, overclaiming, or buying a base from someone.

I wouldn't trust people with buying their base, because this lets them overpower you and just overclaim it once again after you buy it.

In the nether, it is a bit different. If you have a big base by the spawn, it shows strength, but usually people don't build bases in the nether because of people traveling in and out all the time. The end and nether are two popular pvp arenas, though the owner might decide to turn off pvp until you get quite far out.

5. Vaults and Strategy!


Most people have a stretegy. From building a base, to making their faction and members safe from hackers. Storage is mandatory, since raiding is such a big thing, where are you going to store all of those items? People in factions might have their own private vaults, meaning insiding is easy for them. Some people have such expensive vaults, including grinders, farms, and items that they gained from raiding, etc.

A vault is a good idea if you want to store personal items away from your faction members, and build your own items. Sometimes a sky vault would be best, and never bring any of your members to your vault, or they will set their home! DON'T TRUST THEM!!!


The strategy of this amazing mini game is to not quit when caught, raid all day, and pvp with your members! A lot of people hack, scam, are rude, and are just plain rotten, but factions is fun!!
