Well now that I've got your attention with that overused topic I'm afraid to say that I will not be ranting on unoriginality. I'm actually going to share my thoughts on why there is a lot of unoriginality in the blogs. Yay.
One of the main reasons there is a lot of unoriginality is because the blogs section is limited to only things about PMC or minecraft. Now this is important because we don't want to see a bunch of spam on weird, random things but it also narrows topics down.
Yes, you can write an original blog from the topic of minecraft or PMC but a lot of big topics you want to cover have probably already been covered by someone else. That's one reason why people write unoriginal blogs, there are only so many big topics on minecraft or PMC and you can't write about something besides minecraft.
Besides, it's not always a bad thing. If there is a topic that has already been used and you have a different opinion then post it! Even if you have the same opinion, if you write a decent blog just to share your opinion, not because you want diamonds, and you just want to talk about the topic then awesome! Post your blog!
Like I've said before, people post popular things because they are popular. However, that doesn't mean people post them for the same reason.
Some people are like 'wow, all these blogs are getting so many diamonds, I want diamonds so I'm going to post one too!' Then they wind up posting a not-so-good blog and it gets diamonds because it's a popular topic.
However, other people post about a popular topic because they want to write about it too. If someone feels that it is an important topic then they will write about it for the sole reason that they want to write! And that is just great!
You can yell at someone for posting an unoriginal topic but you can't accuse everyone of just wanting diamonds. If someone wants to write about an unoriginal topic because they've experienced it and feel strong about it then let them write!
If someone actually feels strongly about something it will be a good blog. They'll spend time and effort on their blog, even if it is unoriginal. To automatically comment 'wow, you only did this for diamonds' is very insulting to the person. They wanted to get their opinion on the topic across to people, you don't have to read it if you're irritated with the topic. I on the other hand like to read everyone's opinions, even on overused topics.
Unoriginal blog topics are way different from unoriginal skins. If a skin is unoriginal they pretty much all look the same. If a blog topic is unoriginal there could be multiple different views on it. Read before you judge!
So, in conclusion, not everyone writes about a popular topic because they want a lot of diamonds. And there are a lot of similar topics because there is a narrow range of things you can write about PMC and minecraft that are big issues to everyone.
If the blog looks like spam with not much written, then yes, someone probably did just do it for the diamonds. If the blog is well-written with detail and form then the person probably does care about the topic, even an unoriginal one.
So yeah, unoriginality happens in the blogs, but you shouldn't get super mad at the author if they care about a topic. If they spam it just for diamonds, then yeah, it's ok to get mad.
This doesn't mean you should always write about the unoriginal topics. Try to come up with an original topic if you can but I'm not going to yell at you if you wrote a good blog. I've written about unoriginal things probably as well. A lot of people have. Just put your own personality in your stuff.

Unlike most of the 'rants on unoriginality' these are my thoughts on why there is unoriginality and my opinion that not all unoriginality is bad.
So actually this is an original blog because I'm not ranting on unoriginality, I'm supporting some people who write good blogs although they may be unoriginal.
I'm not yelling at people because of unoriginality, I'm explaining why I think there is a lot of unoriginality. So yeah.
And I don't care if there are a lot of blogs on the same topic as long as they're well-written.
