Wander
Have you ever realized that the things we value the most, the things we hold closest to our hearts are what drive us mad?
They are what eat away at you, rendering you hollow.
The drive us to do things we don’t want to do, things we know we’ll regret. Yet we find ourselves following along, blinded by a false hope.
They drive us to the brink of madness, tearing pieces from our soul and minds. They strip of us of what makes us human.
There are some people who are capable of harming us more than we can even come close to harming ourselves.
Other times, we play the role of both the victim and the culprit.
Why do we do this?
We do this to bury the pains others inflict upon us, pretending that the only ones who can touch us are ourselves.
We do it on our own will, to pick out those who care about us from those who pretend to.
It’s all a twisted game.
Sometimes your closest friends, the ones you put all your trust into, are the ones just looking to break you. Just looking for a way to hollow you out.
Those we bring in close and share a fragment of ourselves with are those who shatter us.
They leave us empty. Just another soulless figure left wandering aimlessly.
Have you ever felt true pain?
Some of us find sanctuary in it; thrive in the hellish domains we create for ourselves.
Others relish the pain, seeing it as freedom.
I will continue to wander.
At best I’ll accidently stumble into success.
At worst I’ll continue to wander, left in the dark.
There is nobody to guide me,
So I will wander.
I have no purpose,
So I will wander.
But I do not walk alone.
There are others who tread the same path I do.
Looking for a purpose, searching for a meaning to live.
We are the Ghast.
Until we find it, we are left to wander.
