Iron and Diamond! Ahh yes. Now, let's look at pros for both.

Iron

Apart from coal, Iron is the most common ore. It is the most used item in the game, being able to make minecarts, tracks, flint and steel, armor, tools and more! Without it, Minecraft really wouldn't be the same. It was one of the first blocks to make a appearance in Minecraft, and has since left a dent in our gaming lives. Who could play Minecraft without Iron? Diamond lovers? Ehh..

Diamond

Diamond is the strongest ore in the game. It makes the best armor and the best tools. It is hard to find, but when you find it you experience a moment of relief that you won't get from most games. Again, it was one of the first blocks in the game, so why would you ever diss diamond?

Time for the bad points...

Iron

Due to how common it is, it isn't as precious as diamond. It also makes weaker armor and tools then diamond. It can be easy to miss in mines, due to it's brown texture against the dark.

Diamond

It is extremely hard to find, and even if you find it, they won't be in large chunks like iron.
