Why Do Let's Plays on YouTube?

Some may say, Why should make a Let's Play of "Game name here" when "famous YouTuber" has already played it, but they post it anyway?
That is the question that I will try to answer today with my own opinion!

So Why?

Well First of all different people have different views on the game, memories, ties to it or enjoy it more but each YouTuber that does it brings their own flare so to speak to the game commentary to make it exciting and easier to know whats going on!

But Why?? You won't get a lot of views, is it worth it?

You, like me, may be a small YouTuber that does not have a lot of subscribers, frequent people who watch your videos everytime you upload them, but you played the game and you really enjoy so you would like to share it with your friends and show them how much the game means to you! It's more a passion for it, like Minecraft where millions of people play it and thousands make YouTube series with it, but each with their own creativity and imagination to add to their own story. 

But Why watch more than one person who plays the same game?

Some people look up the game and find multiple Let's Play's of the game and choose between one of them or watch both! Well it depends on the style of the game. some might be strategy based, so each person has their own way of setting things up or doing things and the viewer wants to learn different ways on how to perform each task, some YT's might do it slower than others and others might be more of an expert in one area than another. So it all depends on how "professionally" or well done the video is produced to the viewer's enjoyment or a tutorial vs a pro or an amateur (eg. League of Legends). 

In Conclusion

To sum it all up, People like to make Let's Play's on YouTube because they enjoy the game, want to have fun playing it, have a reason to play it more than once, to share their views on it, to make it entertaning and to give feedbacks to the developers on how to improve things to make the aspect of the game better!




I hope this has given you a little more encouragement to keep making Let's Play's if you do already, and if your wondering if you should, to start them, because it is a great experience and skill to have to be able to talk to yourself for hours on end. (haha)
