Please take a look at all the pmc skin for there contest that I have constructed. http://www.planetminecraft.com/member/storm97970/?keywords=contest (Current skin for monster closet contest http://www.planetminecraft.com/skin/lizard-monster-3d-mouth/) well, some of them are pretty good huh, well did YOU know that not ONE of those skins made it even to the final judgment. I always get "participant" award. It's not award to me, its a reminder that I have not one won a single contest, nor gotten even close to winning one. I feel my work is unnoticed. Due to the fact that I spent allot of effort just to find out that I didn't even come close to winning. Are my skins not good enough? Are they "not shaded well", are they unoriginal or just stupid?!What are your opinions, leave a diamond and a comment if you believe that YOUR contest entries met higher standers and failed. I think this might lead up to another blog, about how moderators get more attention and have an unfair higher chance of winning. http://www.planetminecraft.com/blog/no-mod-contests/ . Please leave a comment, and rate my skins.
I take requests.

NOTE- I am hoping to win the next skin contest, here is my entry. http://www.planetminecraft.com/skin/lizard-monster-3d-mouth/ I HAVE HIGH HOPES!

I totally agree with you. Your skins are awesome, creative and well shaded. You say that none of your skins made it to top 100. Well that's exactly my case. I just get rubbed out of the way by skins that doesn't have to do with "Monster in the closet" at all. Like, mine was an old pizza monster. One of the finalists: Nether knight. What can i say? -.- Btw they say that skins with lots of diamonds get to top 100. Well mine had 13 and some of the finalists had like 9 or 6..... Im kinda mad.

The finalists are based primarily on judges' diamonds, so it isn't because it's unnoticed, it's likely that the judges feel that the shading isn't at the same standard as the finalists.
Before I started skinning I read this tutorial by Leostereo on shading and the first two skins I made reached the finals, so I would recommend you do the same, as well as search for other tutorials.

For your next contest entry, try spending the first few days thinking of an original idea, and once you are completely happy with the idea, spend the next week making and editing it using the shading methods in the tutorial.

Good luck in the future!

The same names pop up on the contest winner board since they deserve to win. Everyone knows that they're the best skinners, just a bit of hard luck.

Actually, I disproved that it was just ancient favouritism.

During the Apocalypse skin contest, I was level, I think it was... 4, or 5?

And i managed to get 35th... Its not just whom is well known.

Your skins are great, but not the top.
BTW, a back-story helps the skin a lot. ;)

Your skins are great, it is just that you don't have the people to back it up (unlike leostereo and that). Also a lot of these things you have uploaded have been seen too much!

Your skins sadly aren't good enough to win. Its that simple. there not bad, just not great or unique or original.
