Well you see how some times you want to build a house or you want to destroy something or kill... Well minecraft satisfys all of those is 1 game. Even thow it has bad graffics they dont need good graffics because it satisfies you with everything else but graffics. Also minecraft barely takes up space on your computer (unless your downloading mods texture packs Ex.) So even with the worst computer yuo can still play (with some lag)
