Level 40 : Master Mlem Mlem Bat
76
This is a short story in which I'll be releasing in parts. It's a meeting of two minecraft players Dino_God and Jman5000555 (myself XD). Both players are masters in their respective mods, Ars Magicka 2 and Ferrolus Gun/Galactriccraft/basically all tekkit mods. They have an unlikely meeting and both of their lives change forever (well kinda) (Also that last statement sounds so generic in retrospect, well whatever enjoy)

I heard a faint sound coming from outside my walls. It sounded like someone yelling, but it just as may be a creeper I can never seem to tell. I just dismissed it and went about my wizardy business. After several minutes the sound continued to persisted and was breaking my concentration; I decided it best to investigate what was making so much ruckus outside my tower walls. I quickly ascended to my tower roof amidst the magical runes protecting it. I spotted a rather odd looking fellow at my tower's base. He seemed to be wearing metal and other strange gadgets and gizmos. They seemed to be and bop and flash and blink with every passing second. It was quite a wear on the eyes and it made me think how could the man stand wearing it all. Aside from the strange gear he seemed to be a dragon man, one of rather juvenile qualities. This came at no surprise to me after all the abnormalities I had faced in my travels.
“There you are, I've sat out here for ten minutes awaiting your presence. Now I can finally ask my question,” The strange man groaned.
“Indeed you can, now tell me of your inquiry you queer man.”
“Who are you calling queer? I know the likes you aren't calling a man of my status a queer.”
So quick to judge, hmm I need to apologize for whatever I did. “I'm sorry for whatever you may think I called you, but I simply meant you are strange to me.”
“I seek usage of this tower of military purposes, it is in prime position for attack my enemies,” he explained.
“I see.... you seek to retrofit my wizard tower for your militaristic purposes.”
“Yes, now I need you to lift whatever force field seems to be protecting this place, so I can start.”
“Well I'm sorry to tell you sir, but I respectfully decline your offer. You may place your tower elsewhere; I don't condone of war.”
“This wasn't an offer....”
So this means war... Well I guess this man will be a good testing for the spells I've been creating. This man has no idea what he is messing with. He'll soon enough see his mistake.
I gathered what supplies I felt this battle deserved. I grabbed just a few of the weak spells I had made but never had a chance to try out, for I was certain anything more powerful would destroy him. I was about to grab my staff when I felt the attack against my home. It was the most powerful thing I had ever felt. The sheer destruction it must have caused was immense. It felt as the whole earth shook at the blast. I knew if I had not amassed the copious amounts of essence to fuel my home's wards the my tower would have been most certainly been wiped off this earth.
This man is no ordinary fool, he has weapons like I've never seen. Those foolish gizmos hold power unmatched by anything I've ever seen. It looks like it's time to test out my most powerful spells...
I then grabbed my best gear and once again went to the roof of my tower to assess the damage. It was more then catastrophic; the I once looked upon in my free time was reduced to rock and stone. The damage seemed to reach miles below the earth, letting the sunlight reach the once hidden bedrock.
I felt sick to my stomach that man had the power to create something that can cause this much destruction. That made me reflect on the reason I receded to my tower. This world had been sewed with corruption and each passing day more and more were effected by it. I see what corruption has wrought on the world in my absence. This man was the pinnacle of greed and carnage. I had to stop him at all costs.
I spotted him in a concrete bunker he made had built for himself. The walls seemed to be made of lead and a window was built to see the utter annihilation the device had caused. He seemed to be disappointed at the lack of destroyed tower, but he seemed ready to sit here all day if that's what it took.
“Damn you, and your strange equipment. You defaced the earth with your magic weapon.”
“You should be the one I'm damning, I spent a lot of resources on that bomb, but your tower sucked it up like a sponge in water.”
“It's the only thing that survived your onslaught.”

“Well you did too, unluckily...”
“You have awakened the wrong Gragnorrok.”
“Wha-
I attacked him with a blast of air and knocked him back into what was left of the forest. I then summoned an army of zombies to kill him. He swiftly took apart my zombies one by one until none were left. I was astonished at his power, I knew of his device's destructive power, but he seemed to occupy a lot himself.
“It's going to take a lot more then those parlor tricks to stop me,” he teased me.
I then sent a torrent of wind against him; sending him swirling hundreds of feet in the air. Before he could land I summoned a pile of spikes to impale him. However to my disbelief he simply dodged them and landed safely out of the range of my spikes. I knew wind magic would be of no use but to slow him down. I then let out the full force of my power against him. I sent flaming tornadoes and walls of water against him. I unleashed some of the most powerful spells against him, but to no avail. He emerged from the attacks unscathed.
“Now it's your turn,” he said with a grin widening on his face.
The next few moments flew by like a blur he hit me with rapid slashes of his sword, one full of lighting. They cut my robes to shreds, I didn't have time to protect myself before I realized his sword was at my thorat....
“Any last words?” he said slyly.
“Aricus Nokas” I screamed and sent him flying. I rose to my feet, got my bearings and then got to work. I placed wards and spells of defense on myself to ready myself for the next attack. I felt a surge of hope flow through my veins.
“The next time I won't be so forgiving.”
“That was luck, luck granted my absence of combat, this time it won't be so easy.”
“Shut up and fight, I want to get this over with,” he said frustratedly
“You seem so certain you will win, your arrogance will be your downfall.”
He then lunged at me, but this time his movements seemed to be so much slower and I escaped them with ease. He kept doing so until he took the hint that attack was futile. He then took out some sort of gadget that seemed to have a map inside of it. I saw him place a small red light on some location. I was mesmerized by this device, and meanwhile he was setting another attack on my location.
“Say goodbye,” he said with a smile on his face.
“W-
I barely got the first word out when the it hit. It struck me like a raging bull. It blasted me far away from our little battleground and into a pool of essence. This reinvigorated me, I decided it was best that he thinks I was dead so I camouflaged myself into the background.
“Great I can't even loot his body. Oh well at least he is out of the way, now I can move onto that stupid building.”
While he was busy attacking my tower I was coming up with a plan. I decided to outright annihilate him was foolish, but maybe I could slow him down.... forever. I had planned on trapping him in one of my spells and never letting him out. It was an ingenious plan and his confidence in my death made it that much easier. While he was preoccupied messing with his gadget of destruction I set up the runes around him. He was completely oblivious to this. I set my magic to work and stopped him in his tracks. It would be a pain to have to look at him from my tower windows but alas it was a worthy sacrifice.
“Are you feeling it quite difficult to move their sir?”
“Yes, NOW LET ME OUT OF THIS THING,”
“Tsk tsk tsk, but then you would kill me, and I don't help people who want to kill me, it's not good for my health.
“I promise you if you let me out I won't hurt you.”
“I don't need to cast a spell of truth to determine that is a lie”
“LET ME OUT OF HERE”
“Well, since that isn't happening anytime soon why don't you tell me your name? It will help us to get along better.”
“LET ME OUT”
“No need for the yelling, the more scream the less I will feel like letting you out.”
He grumbles.
“Now what was that name again?”
“Dino_God, but most people refer to me as the Almighty Lord of the Dinos.”
“Quite an umm... prestigious name you got there.”
“Indeed, what about yours?” he said calmly.
“I've been called by many names, Wizard, Deatheater, Umacus, Hero, but my true name is Jman5000555.”
“Interesting.. now I need to show you something.”
“How many times to I have to tell you, I'm not letting you out.”
Just then a rocket feel from the sky and took out my traps freeing the mister Dino_God. I was shell shocked; both from the weight of the blast but the fact he used my own trick against me.
He caught me off-guard. He began to laugh, laugh as though he had already won. A laugh of pure confidence.... and evil. I took no reprieve from the battle and readied my onslaught of attacks once more. I threw everything I had at him, from lightning to fire, to poison. He took it all and just kept on laughing. He was mocking me, he knew I could do nothing against him. I thought and I thought until I had finally came up with an idea.
“Darn, your invincible,” I conceded. “You are truly no match for me, your skill far surpasses mine.”
“It's about time you came around,” he said in a matter-of-fact tone. “You know what I'll even let you scamper off and pretend non of this happened.”
“You know that doesn't sound too bad,” I replied. “You know where I come from we shake when a deal is made, it's customary.”
“Ah, as do I.”
“Good I see not all has changed,”
“BINDUS” I smirked as I took hold of his hand.
“What devil's contraption is th-”
“Incantus, moticus, dieminicus,”
My words spun around the air like the silk of a magnificent spiderweb. One made by the common household spider, one that brings awe to anyone curious enough to check out its marvel. These words shone in the air and all at once we were taken through a portal, one that leads not to somewhere else in the world, but leads to a whole another world entirely. I was taken aback by the implications of my incantation. It had truly taken us to another world, one much like our own, but one in which the old magics were long forgotten and the ideals of power and greed were close at hand. It was a world probably much like the one in which I had shunned for so many years. A world in which people relied on death and destruction to fuel their comfort. It was a world which suited him much more then my own.
“Where in the hell are we?” Dino asked bewildered.
“I do not know, what I do know is that we are not where we were before,” I suggested.
“Good idea smart-ass,” he replied frustratedly.
“Why do you ask questions if you don't want answers?” I offered.
“Great, I'm stuck in some new place and my only companion is Captain Obvious,” he said. “What are you going to say next, that the sky is blue?”
“Well..... it is.”
“Perfect.”
“It's far from perfect, I got us here, and now I don't have the power to get us back. Or even unstuck for that matter.”
“WHAT?” he screamed. “Are you saying I'm stuck holding your hand from here on?”
“Indeed, or at least until I can find a magic conduit.”
“Uhh, what happens if I just kill you?” he asked completely seriously.
“Well I'll die, and you'll be stuck here without any of our funky gadgets.”
“Uhh, alright you got me there I guess we'll have to work together.”
“Yeah, we can work together to get home,” I stated.
“Right, just don't let this turn into one of those we become friends because were stuck together, ok?”
“Yeah I have no plans of that happening” I said and smiled.
At least he's honest. I don't want to have to deal with him any longer then absolutely necessary. I can't believe I didn't think about their not being magic on other worlds. This whole plan has been messed up. I should have known better then think I could just drop him off and leave. I have to deal with him.....for now.
We both looked at each other in confusion. Neither of us had any idea where to begin.
“Why don't you start us off, Mr. Wizard,” he suggested.
“Sure,” I said not-so-confidently.
I just started off into one direction and just kept moving. I would stop every so often and speak a magic word, just to make him think I had some sort of idea where we were going. I was quite convincing, getting a nod every time I looked back to check he was still following me. I really was just taking in the scenery. It was breathtaking to say the least, but not in the good way. I saw buildings off in the distance, with roofs that rival the peaks of the tallest mountains. They shimmered in the light like ancient crystals, yet they had a certain eery light upon them. A light that shows that they aren't quite the beauty they seem to be. It's like they hold some sort of unforeseen evil. Like the one black licorice jelly bean in a bag. However in light of the ominous buildings in which we were traveling towards we seemed to be in an untouched Eden of this world. I could see the birds flutter to and fro as the talked with their bird friends. The trees in which they made their nests were at a turning point. For it was already late autumn hear and the leaves were turning rich shades of amber and burgundy. At these sights I missed home, more-so the land of my childhood. A land where the dogwood trees bloomed and the Tree of Life was praised, but back to the task at hand. I need to find somewhere I can take us back to our world.
Chapter 2
The Meeting
We walked for hours, this land seem to drone on and on, never ending. It seemed like I was stuck the Minotaur's labyrinth, forever twisting and turning. However even that sounds more exciting then the endless march forward. With every step forward, I feel as though I'm losing more and more of my sanity. This monotonous march reminds me of the march the penguins make every ye-
“We've been marching for an hour,” Dino_God said annoyed.
“What, how did you hear that?” I exclaimed.
“Well, you kinda said it aloud,” He said as he rolled his eyes.
“Oh, I understand why I haven't spoken with anyone in sev-” I started
“Shut up, I don't care,” Dino god quickly replied.
“Fine,” I remarked.
What a buffoon that Dino_God is, he doesn't listen to reason. People like him are the reason our world has gone to he-
“You know I can still hear your right?”
“Right, um, buffoon means a person of high regards,” I stammered.
“Yeah, no,” Dino said sarcastically. “It means idiot, and I'm not one....”
“How long it has been since I've spoken with anyone it's caused me to vocalize my thoughts,” I pondered.
“Remember how I said I don't care why?”
“Shut up, you're just a simple-minded buffoon who has nothing better to do then complain,” I yelled.
“Who are you calling simple-minded, your just a giant nerd who couldn't take people making fun of him so you hid in your tower forever.”
That statement brought forth some untold anger from deep within me. He lit a fire that hadn't burned in eons, but still took but a simple flick of a wrist to ignite. I trembled with anger, but even more-so I shook with power. The air around me started to twist and warp as it does on a hot summer day. Clouds began to form in the skies and lighting built inside them. It was as if the whole world abided to my rage. My eyes began to glow with a dark red glow that just screamed anger. Just as I was about to succumb to my rage and lay down my wrath upon him, something happened.
“My god what are you?” Dino said shakily.
“I will dest-” I said with an omnipotent tone. “Wait where is that slave's master?”
“What?” Dino asked suddenly confused.
“That colored man, he is without a master. Why is that?” I asked innocently.
“You mean the black guy?” Dino asked shaking is head in disbelief.
“Yeah the negro, he is working alone. His master is a poor one.”
“The black race is free and we've moved on from that,” Dino explained.
“But... but how do we pick our farms, get our cotton?”
“They got machines for that now,” Dino stated.
“You mean like those gizmos you have on you?”
“Yeah”
“But, I still don't get it why make machines when you have those people,” I pondered.
“Why don't you just shut up, or else someone's going to call you a racist,” Dino suggested.
“But what's a racist?” I questioned.
*Facepalm* “Just shut up.”
We moved past the black farmer (Dino told me that negro, and colored were “bad” words now, so I guess I'll refrain from saying them) and kept walking until we cam upon something Dino described as a street. It was quite queer, with silly little yellow lines. It looked like the old roads of yonder days but made of some sort of rock-like construction. However the strangest part yet was the fact that we couldn't walk on it. Why take the time to make a road (or street whatever) but don't allow yourselves to walk on it. Regardless I decided to follow it, hoping for it to lead me to a marketplace.
“Ok, I still don't get it,” I asked frustrated. “Why do we walk on the earth and go around obstacles when we would make much better time walking on the ro- street?”
“Because...” Then as if by magic, a metallic monster whizzed by us rendering me breathless. “That,” he said defiantly.
“ I understand now.”
We kept walking after that, no more thoughts about walking on the road crossed my mind. Only thoughts of what that monstrosity was. As more time passed the sun finally set and darkness rolled over the land. The temperature began to chill and the sounds of the crickets became apparent. We decided that we were to make camp. I found that I hadn't slept in a fortnight, my magical spells keeping me going like the Drake weed junkies. With all of magic gone, I felt exhausted, but I also haven't felt so alive in such a long time. The magic was always going using up my energy, I never felt fully rested. However after years of feeling like this I had the feeling that tomorrow that was all going to change.
