Castle in the Sky is a animated movie written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli.

The plot is about a girl called Sheeta, who has a strange magic necklace with a blue stone. He is accompanied by Muska, a guy who has a very bad feeling (he wants to find the island of Laputa because of its immense power). They are closely followed by Dola and his band of air pirates, who want Sheeta, and also to find the same floating island, although in their cases it is for the treasures that the island holds. At first, when Sheeta manages to escape from the airship and falls into the void, she ends up falling safely (thanks to the magic necklace) into the arms of Pazu, a boy who works in a mine.



This movie was released in Japan in 1986.
