This pack adds an extra town/village type to the Overworld dimension - lake towns that rest on supports just above the water!

You can find these quaint little towns in the shallower ocean biomes (Ocean, Cold Ocean, Frozen Ocean, Lukewarm Ocean, and Warm Ocean). Nothing has been removed from Vanilla to make this happen.

There are a large number of different types of structure that generate here, including forges, chapels, inns, libraries, houses, and much more. Every lake town generates centered around a large town hall structure.

    Enjoy!

Hint: Lake Towns use the structure type "minecraft:bastion_remnant", which otherwise can't be found in Overworld; hence, /locate minecraft:bastion_remnant while in Overworld will always find you a Lake Town.

You're right about that.... I'm saving for a new computer, as the piece of garbage I'm using now can't even run MC.

Definitely will be updating this at some point :)

I just converted it for my own use. If you want it, I'll send it to you. (I'm not doing 19.3 though.)

Quick question. If I wanted a structure to spawn directly above the water, how tall do the supports need to be?

Your best best is to use a bastion_remnant type, because it has a constant spawn height location (y=31). Compare the relative ground-level to your sea level noise setting, which is a also a constant - the difference is what you need.

For example, your structure start's lowest block will be at y=31. If the structure's ground-level would be at, let's say y=35 because your ground-level is a few blocks up from the structure's bottom, and the sea level is at, let's say 52, then your column would be 52-35=17 blocks high.

You are really a master architect, wow!!! I was never expecting someone to make structure data pack that cool! THANKS! I thought I would only be able to see something like that with only a seed bug or something...

Hey, thanks a lot :). Honestly, the thing that impresses me most is how much can be done without having to mod the game as of 1.16.

As long as I don't run out of cool ideas, I'll do my best to keep making neat things!
