This is a part of my ongoing Fantasy Creature Trait Series, which you can find here. However, it is fun to play with even without combining it with the other packs
This packs adds two new traits, flight and gills. They are both really fun to mess with. To allow a player to fly, type "/tag <player> add flier" or type "/tag <player> add swimmer" to take away their lungs and replace them with gills.
To fly, simply sprint and look in the direction you want to go. If you stop sprinting, you will start falling. I did the best I could, but it is still a bit jerky due to how the commands work. However, it is boatloads of fun to just soar around the map like a bird. In all honesty, I got distracted while designing this pack quite a few times.
Gills add more of a challenge to the game than a help. With gills, players can only breathe underwater. I couldn't make the actual bubbles go down, so I did the best I could to replicate it. Water and all waterlogged blocks are safe, but don't stick your head out of the ocean too long or you might suffocate.
As mentioned above, this is part of my Fantasy Creature Trait series. The packs aren't just compatible, but I would encourage you to combine them to get the full experience. For example, if you wanted to play as a fairy, combine weakness to metal, alluring song, and flight together. You don't have to do this, especially not with this pack, but the final product will be a bunch of prebuilt creatures with 2 or 3 traits each. If you are looking for some combinations, here are a few recommendations. I have put more recommendations in the descriptions of the other packs if you are interested.
Alluring Song + Flying + Weakness to Metal = Fairy
Alluring Song + Gills = Merfolk
Eternal Hunger + Gills = Kelpie
Flight + Eternal Hunger = Dragonborn
Please Subscibe to stick around for the final product. I have one more pack I definitely want to make, but I am open to more suggestions. Tell me in the comments whether you would like to have the pack released sooner or with more features. I am always open to suggestions. FishStacks actually recommended flight to me.

Well if ur ever thinking of modifying the flight it could be neat to have an option to put a time limit on it, or to make it only work with light armor
I tried poking around to see if I could tweak it myself but I have no experience with datapacks so I didn't get anywhere lol
if u do ever return to the flight one id be interested in time/armor limit options like that =0
