Stone tools are now crafted with stone
instead of cobblestone.


I made this for a few reasons:

1. Wooden tools are often overlooked and ignored.
2. This will increase the value of both wooden and stone tools.
3. This will enhance the early game experience.
4. Stone tools look like they're made of stone, not cobblestone.



I don't know how everyone else feels, but I always thought the early game of Minecraft was too short. Specifically the use of wooden tools. Generally, wooden tools are never used aside from the pickaxe, which is only crafted to be discarded when the player has enough stone. I hope this datapack will give the wooden tools more purpose while also giving stone tools more value. I think you'll find that your stone tools will be much more valuable to you as well when using this datapack.


Stone Crafting is my first datapack. Please let me know what you think and also what may be able to be improved upon!

I like the idea. I mean cobblestone is still stone, but now you mine some cobble, make furnace, mine even more cobble, bake it in the furnace into stone, then make tools using that instead of the raw cobble. Not so hard to achieve, still has vanilla feel. Worth a diamond of mine.
