Greatly increases the difficulty of survival worlds by adding more powerful mutant zombies, as well as other general changes.

Warning: This data pack will cause irreversible changes to your world. Always make a backup if you plan to add this pack to an existing save.

List of changes:
-All hostile mob spawns are replaced with zombies.
-The time is permanently set to dawn. Zombies can spawn in more places than daylight, but not everywhere.
-Zombies now drop some resources and other mob loot in addition to rotten flesh. They also have a 100% chance of dropping their equipment.
-All zombies can now break doors and pick up items by default.
-Zombies have a greatly increased follow range.
-Zombies no longer summon reinforcements when damaged by default, with one exception.
-All villagers are replaced with zombies which do not despawn.
Spoiler
-Iron golems are replaced with super boss zombies.

And the main feature of this data pack: Zombies spawn with random mutation genes. These make the zombie more powerful by granting it higher stats and/or special abilities. See below.

Mutations
When a zombie spawns, it randomly gains two of the following mutant genes. Zombies can have the same gene twice, and the effects stack.

Normal Zombie: The standard vanilla zombie. This gene does nothing, and is by far the most common "mutation."

Sprinter Zombie: This zombie gains a powerful speed boost, making it as fast as a sprinting player. You'll need to think of something other than running away. Super sprinter zombies (zombies which have two of this gene) are much faster than you and can cover large distances quickly.

Crusher Zombie: Crusher zombies have enhanced physical prowess, making their blows more lethal. They have a considerable increase to damage and knockback. Super crusher zombies kill unarmored players instantly and do massive damage to even those with full diamond/netherite sets.

Juggernaut
Zombie: Juggernauts are much harder to kill. Their hardened skin and sturdiness grants them a considerable increase to armor and HP, as well as knockback resistance. Super juggernauts can't be moved by normal attacks.

Regenerator Zombie: These zombies' wounds mend themselves quickly. They recover lost HP at regular intervals and have increased max health.

Nether Zombie: As the name implies, these zombies are well adapted to extreme temperatures. They are completely immune to to fire and lava. Super nether zombies are always on fire and gain a minor stat increase.

Phantom Zombie: Phantom zombies are silent and invisible, allowing them to sneak up on and ambush careless players. You can spot them by the particles they give off and any items they might be holding. Super phantom zombies don't give off any particles or pick up items, making them nearly impossible to detect.

Sentinel Zombie: This zombie's head has morphed into a guardian, allowing it to attack from a distance. The guardian can't be damaged, but it'll die when the main body is killed.

Revenant Zombie: Revenants are able to come back to undeath after they're killed. When a revenant zombie dies, it'll reappear as a skeleton shortly after. Super revenants get resurrected twice this way.

Boss Zombie: By far the most dangerous zombie phenotype. These formidable foes have greater speed, attack damage, and knockback resistance, and have a massive health bar. They also summon other zombies when damaged. Super boss zombies and on a completely new level, getting fire immunity and a greater health bonus on top of everything else. Super bosses spawn with a glowing outline, stay far away from them at all costs!


This data pack is designed for hard, but works with any difficulty.

This is a work in progress. Currently it doesn't do much with the nether/end and is missing some features. In the future I plan to add:
-More zombie genes
-Nether and end reworks
-Better village loot
-Loot based on zombie type
-Difficulty progression
-Mutagens that can be applied to the player (Maybe)
-Better balance
-Other stuff else I haven't thought of yet

Could you maybe take off the only dawn setting? Or at least provide a version that has the day/night cycle, just cause I think it'd be nice to have day and night, maybe there become more at night than during the day.

EDIT: My bad, didn't realize: /gamerule dodaylightcycle true, would work. Never mind. This is an awesome pack
