Automatic Book Writer
My command block book writer will write a book for you! Just enter this code into your command block : give @p written_book 1 1 {title:<book title>,author:<your minecraft name>,pages:[text:<enter text here>]}. HOPEFULLY it will work. It might not work , it might work.

If you can make books with a command block, can you put player names in it? For example, if you had a "newspaper" book, could you title it "@p Is Believed To Be Jeff the Villager's Killer."?

Currently (1.8), only the "pages" tag for books uses the JSON text component, thus you cannot use player selectors in the title or author tags. Otherwise you would use "selector" in place of "text":
With the full sentence:
/give @p written_book 1 0 {pages:["{selector:\"@p\"}"]}
With the full sentence:
/give @p written_book 1 0 {pages:["[{selector:\"@p\"},\"is believed to be Jeff the Villager's killer.\"]"]}

It's simple. Just make sure cheats are turned on and type /give @p 137. And then follow the instructions at the top. Simple.

Seems legit. Quite useful for alternate ending adventure maps or something like that xD

An example is : give @p written_book 1 1 {title:Creepy Herobrine Story,author:ExplodingTNT,pages:[text:Nuthin' here.]}

...might want to test things before you post them.

I have tested it... but sometimes it dosen't work. Command blocks never do what you want them to do.
