The camera was in MCPE. You could get it by inventory editing. It was pretty much useless, but cool to mess with.

So everyone is wrong it is on raspberry P.I edition not P.E.! ( Raspberry P.I. is a $20 computer the size of a credit card)!

Yes, there was but it was removed in 0.9.0. It was called a Camera, which was once thought to be a block but later found out to be a entity since apon trying to break it it would not break like a block but strangly be pushed and make the classic hurt sound as a entity would. The camera could be obtained without the use of any mods: with hacks, but nothing external like mods or plugins (which keep in mind don't officially exist on Minecraft PE). Its block id was 456 and was used to take screenshots, unlike the ones in
Minecraft PC they had black smoke particals in them that got in the way of the photo
alot... last but not least before 0.2.0 had there correct texture with a tripod, but for some unknown reason was changed to the chrip music disc (keep in mind this is only for the bottom of the item) and thats about it.

yeah i have also seen that but you cant get it without cydia or another hacking software

Yes it is inside, but you can't craft it. You need to use a MCPE Inventory Editory to get it. And it's buggy since it takes picture of the smoke coming out from the camera. (So it's a picture of smoke, and some background.)

No there is no camera, the pocket edition is basicly like alpha on PC. I think there is a CCTV camera mod for pocket edition though. Its worth checking out.
