Can I make a prison server with GroupManager?

Hello all,
I am currently making my factions server into a prison server. The problem I have faced once before while working on another server is that most Rankup Plugins DO NOT work with GroupManager (or gp for short).
I am wondering if there is a NEW plugin since that which does?
If not, if someone could comment that will make me one that will work with groupmanager then I would appreciate it.

I run my prison server currently with http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/prisonrankup/
Groupmanager and Spigot 1.8.
Which so far has worked perfectly. The only problem is the plugin seems to be abandon.
I've been looking at http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/ezrankslite/ as a possible replacement soon.

The answer is of course you can. I have had 2 different prison servers running Group Manager. You just need a plugin such as Prison Rankup that is compatible with it.

It's kind of a yes and no. I mean the only problem is that you'd have to promote all players yourself, unless you got some plug-in which can do it for you. I don't really know.

Weird, but every rank up plugin for my server worked with GM for now and no I dont have a prision but I have a little bit different server than others!

I've stumbled across quite a few rank up plugins as a server owner.
AutoRank, Sign ranks plus, MasterPromote
My personal favorite is ServerSigns for that function.
you can have players pay with money or items to rank up via a sign, and you can lock the signs down with permission nodes
ex: new player can't rank up to 3rd highest rank via sign even if they have the items required.

I had a plugin that supported Group Manager. It was just called Prison I believe. Probably the main Prison plugin supports it.

I'm really sorry but I lost the place I found it as I went to Vanilla instead of Spigot/Bukkit. :/ I'm sorry. Search for prison and it should hopefully come up unless it was abandoned.

Yes it is possible you would need to find a plugin that supports groupmanager for ranks tough as in prisonrankup plugin
