seriously, considering the Wartime Gallifrey the Harry Potter world doesnt stand a chance. 1 of the weapons used in the TimeWar would be enough to eradicate the entire wizard community.
not to mention that where the wizards have just scratched at the surface of time-travelling while the timelords do it as a matter of course.

Russell T. Davies, former head writer of Doctor Who, planned an episode that was to star J.K. Rowling. The plot would have feature the Doctor saving Rowling from her own world of wizards and witches. Rowling expressed interest, but David Tennant scrapped the idea because he felt it would be too 'spoofy.'
And BTW the Doctor would totally win. He'd find some science side to the magic and use his sonic to do whatever and BAM the Doctor wins. Because the Last of the Time Lords is cool.

The Doctor would win. The Sonic Screw Driver is just way too much for pointy light sticks. (Oh wait the screwdriver lights up....)

So I think they would not only outnumber the doctors, but just cast spells of protection upon themselves and hogwarts.. And assuming they are all gathered together for the cause of brutally owning the doctors, they would even have the most powerful and evil people ever. So yeah. The Potter cast could whoop the doctors twice over. I've read the Harry Potter series, and I've watched doctor who and followed it, so I know a lot about them both.. I'm not a huge fan of doctor who because of the bad acting and super crappy special effects.
The Doctor could go back in time and prevent ALL of their births.

i have not seen a lot of dr. who, but from the single episode i saw i can safely say i got much more into it than harry potter. what i really liked with harry potter, though, is how the first books are more for small children, but as you progress further in the books they become more mature, which i thought was cool since it was fitting for my age when i first started reading harry potter, and continued to become more action-filled and dramatic as i grew up. but i still prefer dr. who, because of it's modern setting and because of how it's kind of creepy at times, which i think adds the the excitement.

Daleks, cybermen, and weeping angels are the first to attack and also die. Most of the doctors are wiped out, but a few survive. Realizing that a few daleks are left, they team up with the doctor, go back in time, and kill all of them before ANY OF THE HARRY POTTERS HAPPENED. This would, therefore, reset the timeline, deleting the surviving battle doctors and daleks, and putting all things (except for potter) back into their place.
I don't take sides, this is obvious if you take in to mind the fighting styles of each and every person.(Side note: I love both. But think about it. The doctor could easily do the above. And he'd get away with it. Because it's wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff. And, DING.) refrence
