As a new server, we are looking for new staff members! We ask that before you apply as a staff member, please have ranked up to the [Member] rank (based on time-played) so that we know you are active and committed to the server, as well as have some experience on it.

The server is running 1.7.10. You can connect with 1.8, but it is recommended to use 1.7.10 for best results!
An extremely balanced factions-based survival server created to bring fast-paced, challenging game-play into a factions server! The server is NOT OP, players get rewarded for the effort that they put in.
New players are given very few items and money to start out with, but instead get a huge handicap! Noobs are provided with multiple potion effects (the potion effects are lost on death), being able to keep items and experience on death, and a 25% increase to all mcMMO experience you gain! Use these wisely though, because after playing for 3 hours you will lose this handicap and be promoted to the regular Member rank.
Create 5-man factions with your friends, ally those you trust to share land and create strong alliances. To create more balanced faction game play, we have created what we call MicroFactions! Each faction is limited in power with no more than 5 faction members. All factions have the same permissions and flags and cannot edit them. A single member can make a faction raid-able, so be careful with who you trust to invite to your faction and who to ally. Be warned, allied factions are considered an extension of your faction and can access your land just as your own faction's recruits can; use Truces to prevent PvP-combat with other factions.
Easier and more common raiding! The Excalibur Factions server currently has a 4600 radius world border. This border increases by 200 in each direction for each additional player the server gets to its highest online count! So when 25 people are all online at once, the new server radius will become 5000! This helps keep the server size balanced for the average amount of players, making it easier to find a base to raid while not too hard to hide your base. Raiding through over claiming is easier with higher power loss, though power regens twice as fast!
An extremely balanced economy! The server market was created keeping balance in mind. All items are priced fairly and a player's money balance actually means something. Money is used for many things on the server, not just the market. Most faction commands require significant amounts of money. You can also use your money to unlock new in-game ranks and kits, use perks such as completely repairing an item, getting quick experience for enchanting, buying spawn eggs to start your own farm, and more!
A server with a mature owner and NO corrupt staff. The server is managed by a guy in his 20's who has extensive gaming experience, as well as experience being admin, co-owner, and OP on multiple Minecraft servers. The owner is active on the server and its forums, and reads every thread and suggestions posted since he understands that the players' opinions are a huge part of making the server enjoyable. As for no corrupt staff, the players who are staff members have very limited power and are still players, they get no special treatment. If a staff member is abusive, they are punished more severely than a normal player would be. The server's chat is also monitored by a custom-configured plugin which is always active and does not play favorites with who it punishes. This plugin can be updated whenever needed to add something new for it to moderate. A broken rule is a broken rule, no matter who it is by.
Earn unique rewards by playing on the server and defeating bosses! Excalibur Factions is adding new bosses and features for players to enjoy on a regular basis. Common and easy bosses provide players with useful items and tools which they can use or sell. Difficult and rare bosses provide players with powerful items and rare loot when they are defeated! Each boss is custom created and requires a strategy that players must use to defeat it!
Not a "pay-to-win" server! To make sure that everyone has an enjoyable time, "donation" ranks which players can purchase provide convenience, perks, and other cosmetic features. The best enchanted items cannot be bought and must be earned by players through their effort while playing on Excalibur Factions! Time and effort makes a player stronger!
