My second post on these forums just trying to figure stuff out about mods...Is forge MC safe to download and is Worldedit safe aswell ?

If you get them from a reliable website, they are both perfectly safe. This is the official download for forge: http://files.minecraftforge.net/fml/1.8
and this is the best one for Worldedit:

As far as I know, worldedit for 1.8 does not work for singleplayer in the way described. It's probably best to look up a tutorial for it on youtube.
