I've downloaded the game and set up my Mojang account, but I can't get past pressing "Play" on the launch window. It loads and crashes without even a title screen popping up.
I've followed the advice the launcher gave me when I , reported the error to Mojang. Turns out I already had the latest driver for my computer. I downloaded the new beta driver just to be safe, but again no dice. I suspect my computer might just suck, but it's 4 years old at most.

Your graphic card may be outdated or really old. Try updating and if its updated and still crashes, get a new graphic card. Or you can google how to bypass it.
Heres 2 I found:

Nvidia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbBU1O14vc0&hd=1

Thank you! I had all but given up hope.
Edit - Actually that's what brought me here (yes I followed all the directions). THis time however the IRC seems to be working for me so I might just solve this after all.
