Help!my server no work:)

When I try to sign in to my sever it says java.net.connectException: Connection Refused.when start my sever it says done but, then it still dose not let me. I checked my ip still did not work. I checked the port and restarted minecraft.I tried to log in to a different sever and it worked.

if your running the server off your own computer then u need to portforward your minecraft port 25565

that didnt work there was no line with minecraft in them

Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc in your computer hard drive - Copy the file "hosts" to where ever you like (temporary) - Open the file with notepad and remove any line with Minecraft in it - Save and close the file and put it back in the etc folder and overwrite the old one
