So I have been trying to mod minecraft. I can run the technic pack modpacks easily enough but when I try to mod minecraft myself it never works. I desperately want shaders working but can't do it myself. Is there somewhere out there where I can download an entire minecraft setup already modded with shaders and texture packs and mods and stuff pre-installed? Thanks.

here is a tutorial I made.
anyways, check if you have Forge for 1.8, 1.8 only since you're mods are for 1.8 not 1.8+
make sure you have all core mods installed.
you should also use the GLSL installer. if you can't use GLSL try using another one like SEUS
on NEI try turning it on and off, or changing the mode before turning it back to cheat mode. I also recommend Waila and/or Wawla because this provides small details on the block you are looking at.

Okay so I have minecraft 1.8.7. I installed Forge which created a forge profile and a forge entry under "versions." I then installed GSGL Shaders which created ANOTHER profile for the shaders and its own version under "versions." There doesn't appear to be non-installer versions of Forge for 1.8 or GSGL Shaders for 1.8 yet so can someone please tell me how to combine all this mess?

You're pretty vague, what is not working exactly?

1. Download Forge for the version of MC you are using.
2. Install Forge.
3. Put mods into mods folder. (If nonexistent, create one.)
4. Run profile named Forge.
5. Enjoy!

You need to follow the directions:
1. Type in, minecraft forge[the version you are using],
2. Click on a link, you should see the white logo with a blue background
3.click on the white little box with the version types,

Do you have forge? And you will need a good pc to run the good shaders
