WHAT IS FOCUS BLOCK?
Focus Block is known for one thing - and exactly one thing only.
We are dedicated to bringing high quality handcrafted Minecraft Machinima content for all ages to enjoy. Whether that would be on the go or at home relaxing - we are always sure to provide content for you to enjoy.
Focus Block was founded and established in the of 2013. Founded by two individuals - the dedication for our fans still continues today. From 2013, we have one goal and that is to entertain. We uploaded our content to a platform called YouTube. Our webpage gained over five thousand subscribers and growing.
Our channel was shut down in 2014 after a heated debate amongst our cast and crew division.
We are back and better than ever. We are actively recruiting new members to join our team. The bigger the team, the faster we can get content out there.
We produce a wide variety of content for everyone to enjoy - Each person has their own individual liking and we try to experiment and try new things everyday! Whether it is a fast paced action film or a comedy film that will be sure to get to your funny bones, we produce them all!

Focus Block is constantly looking for new people to participate in the making of our films. It is a experience of a lifetime. With new opportunities daily - it will be sure to keep you going all day. Are you wanting to pursue your film dreams in the near future - we have professionals that are excellent in script writing, editing and more that can help you out on a daily basis. Are you still unsure? We got a few cast and crew members from Focus Block to state what it feels like working here at Focus Block.
HOW CAN I JOIN FOCUS BLOCK?
In order to join Focus Block, you must first meet the requirements below.
Joining Focus Block is a rather simple process, but it does take time to process. Each person will be required to fill in an application in order to ensure efficiency within’ our staff. We currently have two departments that are applicable at this time. We have our Cast Division which focuses on creating the special moments on camera, this includes Puppeteering (Body acting) as well as Voice acting for specialized and talented individuals. Although this division has less responsibilities than a Crew division, it is a great experience for young individuals to simulate a real filming in progress. If you do not meet the age requirements for Crew - you can transfer over to Crew once you meet the age requirement at your wish. We also have the Crew division, this department has more responsibilities than a Cast member does. It features editing short or feature length machinimas, helping record the action happening, scheduling shoot dates as well as meeting dates, and from time to time - help script write the machinimas that are in post production.
All these divisions help gain experience and knowledge of what it feels like making a short film, series, or a feature length machinima.
THE REQUIREMENTS
Joining Focus Block isn’t as easy as submitting an application and waiting for a return e-mail stating your acceptance into our team. It takes a few more steps than that. We have several requirements for our Cast Division as well as our Crew Division. Each department has separate requirements. If you do not meet the minimum requirements you are not eligible to join Focus Block at this time.
A warning that being honest with your application is key. We will find out if you are lying or not. We have and always will. The requirements are stated below, please read them carefully and ensure you fully meet these requirements before taking the chance and the time out of your day and applying.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR CAST DIVISION
Minimum Age Requirement is 12 years of age.
Must have access to Discord. (Web version only required)
Must contribute at least two to three hours weekly.
Able to be level-headed and mature when needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR CREW DIVISION
Minimum Age Requirement is 14 years of age.
Must have access to Slack
Must have access to Skype
Must contribute at least four to five hours weekly.
Must be level-headed and mature.
Experience with editing, scriptwriting, or scheduling.
THE APPLICATION
As of now you can only submit your application using an Application Form. Before you had the choice of submitting your application by creating a comment on the thread and using a template but we felt like it was good to keep track of the applications sent in with one resource. Below will be a Google Forms website where you can submit the application for Focus Block. Please know that we can only read so much applications at once - It may take up to 24 hours to get a response from us. Our response is now sent via E-Mail and not Skype. As of June 2016 - All staff members must have access to Discord which is an essential tool used for communication among the staff members.
