Keep timing out on Minecraft?

Hey everyone! I really, really need help right now. I keep having an issue with minecraft where I get this error: Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly colosed by the remote host.
Any help? This happens every 5 minutes or so of playing, and is just making the whole game stressful, in short lol.
If you guys could reply I'd be extremely thankful. Thanks

When does this happen?

Started 2 days ago, only mod I use is optifine.

This was happening to me too. Check some other servers and come back to that one later. Alternatively, Just dont play online for a day or so. If None of this works Re install minecraft or delete all mods.
