Just some clarification: he was banned for 1 day for his first offense of remixing a skin. Not permanently banned.

As others are saying, don't quit Minecraft. You were banned from PLANET MINECRAFT for not following the rules, but nothing says you can't keep playing Minecraft. Just go on Minecraft Forums or something, but don't let Mojang have a free 30$.

Especially as the rules say they will just be removed, and possibly have your upload privellages removed, if you only did it once, I highly doubt you'll get perm banned.

I have been banned multiple times and its not the end of the world. The first time i made skins for all the mobs in minecraft where some of them were the same or allmost the same as the textures in the minecraft assets. That was really stupid and i see why i got banned. After that i posted the one of those skins that was most different from the one in the assets: the iron golem, and i had put a lot of effort into it but got banned. The next time i got banned it was really stupid cause i had a texture pack for about a year and many people liked it but it suddenly got removed. Sometimes you get banned or your content is taken away for stupid reasons. But dont give up. Just try not to do the same ereor again. Deal with it. There is no reason to quit minecraft, but taking a break from it can be a good idea if you feel really angry about the fact that you got banned. When my texturepack was removed i was really furious, but i got over it. Spore is a pretty good game, but it isnt even close to as fun as minecraft.

Don't you think quitting Minecraft because you got banned on here for recoloring a skin and then handling the situation poorly is a bit irrational? I don't think you should quit a game just for getting banned off of a site for it. There are plenty of servers for you to be a part of, so go ahead and explore, and stay out of trouble.
