Minecon will be Europe (announced by Lydia). So this lets you narrow it down to European countries. There are about 60 European countries. Now lets cut some of the list

There goes about 28 countries. Sorry if you live in one of these, but your chances aren't high. Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_European_countries_by_population to keep along with this. Ireland to Russia are some of the countries that are more likely to have Minecon. Ireland is eliminated because its just too small. It is in the UK, and England is close, but for minecon, it must be the big place, not the place near the biggies. Georgia = ✖ . Norway is big, and so is Oslo. Norway might be a possibility, but why settle for a country with fewer people and not Mojang's birthplace? Sweden is bigger, Mojang's birthplace, and this will be the 5th minecon! 2010 (Seattle) 2011 (Las Vegas) 2012 (Paris) 2013 (Orlando) and 2014 (?¿?¿). So yeah. Sweden definitely has a big chance at becoming 2014 Minecon location. Slovokia = ✖ . Finland is same as Norway. Denmark is big, but I just don't think it would be worthy. Serbia, Bulgaria = ✖ . Switzerland isn't big enough, and is right next to France, which was 2012 minecon's location. Austria, Belarus, and Azerbaijan = ✖ . Hungary, Czech Republic = ✖ . Portugal is nice, but not big enough. Greece = ✖ . Belgium has a chance. Netherlands probably has a good chance, it has a lot of minecrafters. Kazakhstan = ✖ . Romania = ✖ . Poland = ✖ . Ukraine = ✖ . Spain is nice, and bigger than Portugal but not large enough. Italy would be very cool, but I don't think its very likely. United Kingdom, I would rate the UK as number 2 on my list. There is a big Minecraft community out there in the UK. Also, an English speaking country (Thats what language they speak at Minecon). France = ✖ (You already had your turn). Turkey has a decent mc community, but I don't think I'll put it as number 3. Germany is a large country, and I think has a nice mc community as well.
So I have a list I have decided of my personal guesses.
1. Stockholm, Sweden. Why? Birthplace of mc, decent sized Mc community, and maybe Mojang will do something special in their Hometown because its the 5th Minecon.
2. London, England. Why? Great sized Mc community with lots of people.
3. Amsterdam, Netherlands. Why? Pretty much same as number two.
Others, I think I give Berlin, Germany 4 and Istanbul, Turkey 5. Berlin and Turkey I think I have around equal chances.
Also, look at other Minecon locations. They all have something to do there. Amusement park after Saturday, its awesome (I went to 2013 Minecon )
Las Vegas = I don't know what they did after Saturday.
Paris = Disneyland
Orlando = Universal Studios
My three top picks I am pretty sure have something to do there. Also, my top 3 should have convention centers and hotels. And these ones are huge. I had never saw such a big convention center before in my life. (That doesn't really make it a big deal, but I'm just sayin).

They said it would be in Europe due to the fact there are a lot more fans in Europe now. I think it's most likely to either be held in England or somewhere like Belgium or France.

Now I am not picking these because I live here, I live in the UK which is not flyable with 1 flight, but I'm just suggesting because its been US, EU, US and I mean canadians and europeans have feelings too, Canada has lovely country and people and nice culture and sweden Is the home of minecraft and lovely people, also it's accessable quite easily For other areas in EU like denmark, Norway and northern europe in general. This is my opinion though and I think its unlikely for it to be in the US this year judging their pattern, I will also be so happy when they reveal the location

plz dont hate, but i REALLY, REALLY want them to hold it in BC, canada. thats where i live, and there wasnt really many "awesome" events there, discluding the olympics in vancouver on 2010, if anybody remembers that.

i never been to a minecon, and plus i would REALLY like to meet my fave gamer, captainsparklez, aka jordan maron, or maybe even sky, aka adam.

my family doesnt travel much, so im hoping they would do it in our province, preferably the lower mainland area.

Hypnos_ Please dont go all USA over this even tough US is the area with the most MC players.

This is only because of the size of the country not because that is the country it is most popular in.

In my opinion the best place would be London, UK as I don't know if it has ever been in England before plus you haven't even put any of the English cities like Glasgow.

If the size of the country was what mattered, than most of the minecons would have been in Russia and Canada.

It was announced it was going to be Europe by Lydia, so I am guessing it will be around 10,000 person event in Stockholm, Sweden. Why? Because its the 5th minecon (4th if you don't include the 2010 one, in Seattle.)

Honestly, Minecon should be held in my home town, San Diego. They can host in in the downtown area in the massive convention center, where comic-con is held. San Diego has an insane number of hotels, restaurants, and other attractions near the convention center. It's honestly one of the best downtown cities to look at (especially in the summer).

I think it should be in Lexington, KY

Don't hate on me this is just my opinion:

Minecon as I see it is unlikely to be going to anywhere else other than places in Europe or the United States of America because the majority of people play on there, however this unfortunately means that other countries such as Ireland, Australia etc miss out on the chance to host minecon.

Don't shoot me or go all "but Australias just a tiny island" but I think that Mojang should consider more places like Australia and Ireland as minecraft is not exclusive to just America and Europe and unfortunately the minority of people who aren't European or American do miss out on the opportunity unless they can afford it. I am genuinely disappointed that once again Australia doesn't host minecon but one day I hope that I can go to minecon (when I can afford it) or Mojang give the chance to host it in Australia, it would after all make the Aussie minecrafters very happy, even if it was just the one year.

Probably in Berlin or London. Paris is already taken, but they have the rest of Europe to worry about too. Copenhagen would be cool as well.
