I had stopped playing mine craft for a wile, and then decided to start back up. when it installed all the new updates and when i tried to play this error popped up. then it asked to follow a link to fix it which sent me to a page saying it may be my video card. i tried updating it but confused along the way.

here is my dxdiag https://gist.github.com/anonymous/c59da05d4dc0452a6f97

This could be why it does not work.
https://help.mojang.com/customer/portal ... gl-support

older systems may not be able to upgrade to the new OpenGL, therefore people with to old of computers are pushed out of minecraft.

You can try the Catalyst Software Suite, but I can't guarantee it will work: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/d ... 7%20-%2032

I'm not able to find any drivers for your graphics card, however it is an ATI card. Please try the AMD auto-detect tool: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool
If this fails, or the given drivers fail to install, please try Dell's auto-detect instead: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/ ... Drivers_PS
