Minecraft 1.4.4 LAN SERVER BUG
Hello,
A new LAN server bug has been introduced with the new MC 1.4.4 . When any player try to connect to the LAN server it automatically says ''Connection refused'' or another error message . This is a common bug in the new release. If anyone know how to fix it it would be great to comment.
THANKS

i have resolve this bug
you just have to:
1-open the lan an go check your ipv4 adress
2-your friends who want to connect to the lan have to join a new server and past the ipv4 adress and put the port of the lan server.
exemple: if my ipv4 is 163.336.0.10 an the port is 51651 you have to tape 163.336.0.10:51651
warning! the port change at each opening of the lan
this is all ! Enjoy

MCjew's solution works well, just make sure you're using the IPv4 of the computer hosting the server, not the one from your own comp.

Solved it!
Go to your router's interface. It will have a section called something like "Attached Devices" which will have a list on all computers on your LAN and their ip addresses. Note the ip address of the computer hosting the LAN and enter that as a Direct Connect in your Minecraft. You will also need to put in the number after the colon that you see under the LAN game in the servers screen.

Downgrade to 1.4.2 for the time being.. 1.4.4 only fixes bugs, not really any new content.

I figured out how to do LAN on a PC:
This only works on PC. If you can find the IPv4 on a mac go ahead.
1. Open world to LAN
2. It should give an ip something like this 0.0.0.0:55374
3. Now type in "cmd.exe" into the start menu
4. It should open a new window: type in "ipconfig"
5. Scroll up until you see the heading "Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection"
6. there should be a subheader that says "IPv4 Adress".
7. Take this number, for example: 168.173.2.1 and use it in replacement of the 0.0.0.0 when you connect to a server.
8. So, in this case, it would be 168.173.2.1:55374
And that should work! hope this helps!

I'm assuming it's a LAN only problem. I don't know about other people but when I host a LAN server now it hosts the server with an IP address of 0.0.0.0
That may explain the lack of capability to connect...

I have a multiplayer Server at mc.punchcraft.us which players can connect to. No bugs there
