I am having trouble configuring this mod

I am on Mac, and I can't use the resource pack builder, as it is a Windows .exe file. Can someone show me how the resource pack is supposed to look, so I can manually create it?
Also, the disc config, although working, isn't displaying the correct names for the authors/songs, does anyone know why this is?
