Hi ho N'wahs! Welcome to Morrowind|Reborn, where cliffracers traumatize adventurers, injured knee jokes are nowhere to be found, and mature builders and staff are in need.

Standard Builders: 5/5

Dedicated, Regularly Contributing Builders: 3/10

Managers: 1/2

Admin: 1/1

[SPECIAL REQUEST] LOOKING FOR: Veteran Morrowind player with the game at hand to cross check structures and interiors with me. Mature and easy to work with.

SPECIAL REQUESTS: 1/2 (Verteran Neraverine - We need you!)

Foremost, let us explain what this server is, and aims to be.

Morrowind|Reborn

Morrowind|Reborn is a roleplaying (RPG) server featuring an exact recreation of Bethesda's classic and much-loved Morrowind- including Solstheim, Mournhold and all the Daedric Planes of Oblivion.

Morrowind|Reborn will be divided into two servers:

The RP/RPG Experience: Skills/races/classes and progression. Entirely in-character role-play and player-created character bios, total immersion and a focus on questing, filling jobs and living in Morrowind as a local. Building and breaking is heavily regulated by a ranking and plots system (similar to building Strongholds in the actual game). This is the main server that will receive constant support, have an official website, be moderated and maintained, and will be hosted by me. It is both RPG and RP, in equal amounts.

The Resource Server: Basic RPG plugins, little support and freedom to do whatever you want in the Morrowind Map. It's your basic Minecraft Server, but in Morrowind. Available for those that just want to mess around. This server will be hosted by whoever wants it and I trust, once the main RP/RPG server hits public release. Slight RPG and no RP.

Here's the actual Minecraft map as shown in WorldPainter:

Don't believe the map is as amazing as we claim? Check it out on Dynmap: http://68.228.190.172:8123/#
Hit the isometric view buttion for a truly impressive sight.

The map is exact, and plugins are planned on being used to create custom classes, signs, races and factions, as well as named and lore-filled loot (Boots of Blinding Speed, anyone?). Every NPC in Morrowind will make an appearance, with the same name, look and occupation they had in the game. Not only that, but all the guilds and Great Houses will be implemented and fully joinable (even the Twin Lamps).

If you can find it in Morrowind, you can find it in Morrowind|Reborn.

Note that the implementation of Morrowind's quests is being considered, but will only be worked on after all else is complete and satisfactory.

Morrowind|Reborn will focus less on the traditional aspects of Minecraft and instead offer an entirely new mode of gameplay: dungeon-clearing, exploring, roleplaying, and working in jobs (from egg miners to assassins).

What this means is that there will be a heavy emphasis on role-playing and living in the Elder Scrolls universe. Everyone is to be in-character, and can bring Morrowind to life by doing just about anything: making a living as a fisherman on the Ascadian Isles, growing and selling food in the Grazelands, travelling the continent selling wares at your merchant booth, braving the depths of Red Mountain in search of treasure, prowling snowy Solstheim as a werewolf, or even rising through the ranks as a politician in the Great House of Hlaalu. It won't be easy in the beginning: you may start as a lowly argonian slave waiting for that one chance to escape your captors, or a homeless dunmer wandering the dark alleys of Balmora under the stars. And yet, as you rise in the world and make a name for yourself, you'll unlock more and more the secrets of this volcanic isle and open new opportunities. But be careful, talk to the wrong person, explore the wrong cave, and you may find yourself at the hands of the Sixth House...

Here's a quick rundown of what we have in store:

The server will be white-listed to prevent any less-than mature players from breaking your immersion, and only mature and respectful people will be allowed in, via whitelist. This will be strictly enforced. (More on this later).

A resource pack will later be made available, featuring a guitar-centric recreation of all Morrowind's fantastic music (done by yours truly) for your listening pleasure, as well as texturing unique materials such as bone mold and chitin. Masser and Secunda (the twin moons) will be making an appearance as well. (More on this pack later).

Some sample pictures of the map and the Bitter Coast (more can be found on the official website, linked at the bottom of this post):

The Bitter Coast goes on and on...

Now, for the part you all came for, the three tiers in the Staff department:

Jobs Available

1 - Dedicated Buiders [IN MOST NEED]

Morrowind|Reborn is an entirely unique server in that it uses the actual heightmap from the Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind to recreate the exact geography of everyone's favorite volcanic island. There is but one
flaw in this method, however, a rather obvious and large one: there aren't any buildings. My team and I (read: 3 people) have been working diligently to fix this, and we've completed Seyda Neen, Gnaar Mok and most of the Bitter Coast all on our own. All of it is very nice and detailed, but we're only 3 people. We need builders.

What does it take to be a builder, you ask? Here are our requirements:

*Adherence to high quality standards (detailed and LORE-ACCURATE)

*Cooperation and compliance with admin (myself- Glorfy, and WoodC)

*Knowledge of the game Morrowind (may be overlooked if building skills are exceptional. Rarely.)

*Can utilize the project wall and independently build when Admin are unavailable

*Mature and easy to work with

Builders are the most important role as of now, and their rewards will be proportional to the quality and quantity of their contributions, as well as their faithfulness and respect to this enormous project. Buildings will go by region. Currently, we are working on the Bitter Coast.

Our planning format can be found at spawn, depicted here:Green is complete, and red is incomplete.

Builders are expected to find projects here and document when they are done in the manner shown above, and notify either an admin or a manager when they have started and completed something.

2 - Managers

Managers are the proud men and women who have played and loved Morrowind to such a degree, that we can feel confident they will uphold the standards of Morrowind|Reborn. Their job is to keep track of everyone (not just builders) and make sure no one is offending the standards of the server (i.e. being disrespectful, apathetic to the quality of their work, griefing, or not using the building-project wall.)

What does it take to be a Manager, you ask? Here are the requirements:

*Played Morrowind extensively (non-optional)*Has proven dedication to the server (usually as a former builder)

*Is willing to reference in-game images and maps to cross-check other's creations, and make changes where necessary

*Add lore-accurate (and lore-plausible) details and additions to completed structuresManagers are second in importance only to builders, and will be vital to organizing a large group of people.

Note that once Morrowind|Reborn hits public release, the manager's job will become that of a moderator's, if they still express interest in the server. Also, be aware this job is only going to come from earning the trust of the staff, either by building or by providing some other service (such as plugins and permissions).

3 - Admin

Admin are the veteran staff members of Morrowind|Reborn, who've proven their dedication and faithfulness by the efforts in their labor and the resulting cramps in their hands. Currently, only WoodC holds this position, by building nearly all of the Bitter Coast, no mean feat (to give you an idea of what it takes to become an Admin).

What else does it take to become an Admin, you ask? Here are the requirements:

*Proven and long-standing dedication to the server

*Unwavering respect and cooperation with the staff

*Genuine interest shown by hard work put into the server

Admin are in much less need than managers and builders (WoodC's got it all covered), but be aware this is a position that one could be bound for if he or she shows dedication to Morrowind|Reborn.

Other Misc. Jobs

-A Coder:

*Able to make small, lite plugins

*Ability to set permissions in GroupManager

*Able to create custom classes in various RPG mods (mainly "Heroes")

-Texture Artist

*Can make textures based off Morrowind (can be a one-off contribution emailed to Glorfy, or full-time creator)

*Can emulate a dark and atmospheric appearance

*Abides strictly to the appearance, feel and naming of Morrowind's materials

*Will allow their creation to have additions put in later (mainly music and splash messages)

NOTE: We encourage that texture artists provide small, one off contributions instead of taking the entire resource pack into their hands. An example: You reply to this post and say you want to be a texture artist. Glorfy then PMs you the list of what blocks aren't done yet, and you choose grass. You retexture the grass block to what Morrowind's swampy grass looks like, then either (preferred) PM Glorfy a link to where he can download the file, or email the file to him. He then credits you on the site, the server and the resource pack, and adds it to said pack.

If you are interested in any of these positions, please post your interest on this thread, then notify the owner, Glorfy, via one of these sites for an interview and, afterwards, the IP:

*IMPORTANT* Regardless of position or job, maturity and respect are expected at all times, no exceptions. The aim of this massive undertaking is to build a community of intelligent and mature players who enjoy Morrowind and Minecraft, and any who don't reach these standards will be swiftly removed. Thank you.
