No offense, but how does submitting text dub someone as a nerd by thou's standards?

No one should be dubbed into a class by anyone but themselves, and should disregard anyone's opinion about them lest it be good.

I understand where you are coming from, but alas, we are still at the application phase. There is a level of deeper thinking gone into my decisions, based on the given text. I decide the class of nerd based on the type, the self proclaimed level, the T.V. show, and the three facts. There may be changes in the future, and the application system may be changed by popular demand. (And by the way, talking like you live in the 18th century does not make you sound smart, it makes you LOOK like your trying to sound smart.)

That is the exact type of thing I was talking about when it came to judging someone based off a few sentences. For all you know I could have a PhD in Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence Programming, yet you base "Nerdyness" off of what T.V. Shows you enjoy, and three small facts, which can in this case be falsified to fit into any situation. You also said that programming as a prospect of being a nerd doesn't count, which is in many cases is what people see as nerds. If anything this application process should be called
"What Type Of Video Related Nerd Are You.", Instead of butchering every single possible definition of "nerd" into T.V. & Videogames only.

Le Sigh

OK, you got me with that first sentence of yours, but the rest are just ridiculous. First, I never said that computer programming doesn't count as being a nerd, I said that computer programming alone doesn't necessarily make you a nerd. Second, the listed examples of types of nerd are just the ones that came up off the top of my head, and are by no means all of the types that are accepted into my club. Lastly, the thing that is bugging me the most, is that you are taking this way too seriously, my intended tone of the initial paragraph was a goofy, fun loving voice. This was meant to be a place to have fun, and you are no longer welcome here.

Just a quick correction on the incorrect use of Le*

*Le - A Term that is sometimes used on the internet instead of "The."
