New Logo. (For myself) Feedback?

I've been struggling for the last 3, 4 months to find myself a logo.
I didn't ask any other designer because I wanted to do it myself.
I spent more than 3 full notebook pages full of designs I could use starting with the letter J, or anything like that. One day after I gave up, this idea came up to me.
So I decided to stylize my Minecraft skin and turn it into my logo.
Here's my skin, if you don't know me
And here's the logo. I like it. Any ideas?

I'd lower the eyes and make the hat a bit taller if I were you. Other than that, awesome logo.

Thank you. The color scheme was random to be honest, I will change it depending on where I'm putting the logo.
And I think I understand what you say about the rounded png. Is is something like this?

It's a nice vector logo which stays up to the standard which is brought forth by most professionals. However their are some things which aren't really sitting with me.
For one thing it's the color scheme. Now even though it's simplistic which I know you were aiming for and it is preferred in a lot of long term work, the color tones don't really work that much. I mean, when you'r working with black as your background, the best option would be to use colors which compliment the background your using such as neon colors or generally white.
Another thing is the style which it was created in. I know that you were aiming for something simple and minimal. However, if that was your approach you could of used flat design shadows and other techniques in that style with a nice color palette to liven it up a bit from just black and grey.
Also if possible you could make it a nice rounded transparent png would of improved upon it so that way it would be replaceable on other backgrounds and images without that pesky square border easily.
Anyway, those are just my opinions but I really do think it was nice apart from the color of the face but feel free to take those few steps I mentioned as it will really improve the yield put forward
