I have finally got my own bukkit server up and have had it running for about a week now the only problem is that my IP Address keeps changing and its hard to host a server that not one can get on it i have to keep messageing people what the IP is and its getting annoying now, does anyone know how I can stop it from changing automaticly or find a way to keep it at one IP Address?

@kbunkrams97 He might have to contact his ISP to get a static ip address with extra charges so I would just go with dyndns.org like Lychees said.

What you need to do is make it a static ip.

Alien, why did you put this in the forum rules category? I'll move it but next time try to refrain from using this forum category because there isn't anything else that Carole or Cyprezz forgot to mention. This qualifies more towards 'Server Help'

Are you set up to have a static IP on your router?
Wait a second, are you giving them your internal IP or external?
Internal will be 192.168.1.1xx
External will be 9x.9x.9x.somethin-somethin-somethin

If your hosting at home its because most (if not all) home ip's change regularly. The only solution is to sign up for dyndns.org and use their address, then just setup the dns updater on your pc so it autoupdates the ip so people can always join.
Hope this helps!
